And this bad taste in my mouth
Makes me so thirsty for you
Come and quench me while my love is running out
And let me tell you how much I adore you
I adore you, I adore you
Because you come to me and then you run from me
Stole my heart away it was a robbery
Everyone's got the right to be free
But I'm in love and I'm never gonna give up, you see?

This kind of loving is the painful kind
Wish we could be making love in the rain full time
But let's be truthful, our youth is useful
If I was waiting in vain, I'd be so blind, so blind,
So blind, so blind, so blind

And this bad smell in the air
If you were here with me I wouldn't even care
I'd take you to the beach where we first met
And try to see if I could meet you again
Because you reel me in, then you throw me right back
Just when I thought we were on the right track
Everyone's got the right to be alone
But I wish you would just call me on the telephone

This kind of loving makes a man so weary
When a man loves a woman so dearly
Girl listen up, I'm saying it so clearlly
But I don't think you hear me now, so
This kind of loving makes a man so weary
When a man loves a woman so dearly
Girl listen up, I'm saying it so clearlly
But I don't think you hear me now, so

Let's go!

Hi. I wrote this song and... Yes... It is called Bad Taste. Fit The Description is another track from our first album. Thanks for listening regardless! I just found this site and I am blown away that there are Passafire songs on here. Very cool!

i would love to hear the real meaning behind all of these songs first off this band is awesome and i love their use of words and metaphors

i feel as though i cant relate in some way or another to most of their tracks. this one especially. i wish i had wrote it first ;) i feel as though its about a really tough relationship filled with love that has been broken a bunch but you still cant shake it. wanting to waait around and fix it, but when reality strikes, you know theres no use. terrible feeling but i love knowing that im not alone and we will all over come!

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
