To feel her touch
It's almost impossible to hold still
Maybe we can go back to the way it was
Well, at least let me love you the same

I got lies to tell your children
When my smile pierces through your bones
Right through your bones
(Through your bones)
The grass is green inside my yard
I can make you laugh so fucking hard it hurts you
Inside your bones
(Inside your bones)

When she talks, I listen
She's in the shower
and her skin glistens
Like, oh my god, I like it
Like, oh, oh god, I like it

I suggest a drive, let's take the back road
Let's get lost, let's lose our minds
Hey, little girl, I think we found it tonight
I think we glow that fucking bright, oh
And, when she laughs, I like it
Like, "Oh ha ha ha ha ha"

I got lies to tell your children
When my smile pierces through your bones
Right through your bones
(Through your bones)
The grass is green inside my yard
I can make make you laugh so fucking hard it hurts you
Inside your bones
(Inside your bones)

"Holy shit, she smells like heaven
Been best friends since we were eleven
And, oh my god, I like her..."

"Yeah, I heard you like her.
Baby, I thought that we had something
Compared to him, I'm next to nothing
Oh my god, I like her..."

"Yeah, I heard you like her..."

I am a million fucking bucks.
I am a thousand fucking fucks.
Your bitch is dead,
She was hit by a truck.
What the fuck?

"Holy shit, she smells like heaven
Been best friends since we were eleven
And, oh my god, I like her..."

"Yeah, I heard you like her.
Baby, I thought that we had something
Compared to him, I'm next to nothing
Oh my god, I like her..."

"Yeah, I heard you like her..."

General Comment"This song is... alright, I am actually not too fond of it. It's just not the style of DGD we all know and love/are used to. But yes, I know, DGD doesn't really have a style so they can do whatever the fuck they want, I'm just voicing my opinion here. Also, this song has allowed me to realize how bland, boring, and unoriginal DGD would be without Jon. They would just sound like another mediocre pop punk/emo/indie band out there trying to make it. Jon really does complete band and make DGD what they are. You all bitch about him and what you call his 'awful' screaming so much on here, but you don't even realize what an influential/main part of this band he is. Think about it, take Jon's vocals out of the songs.. what do you have?"

    bullshit.
    bull
    fucking
    shit
    you dumb ass.

Haven't you fools learned from the whole Jonny scenario that not ONE PERSON can make or break a band?

Jon Mess does not "complete" Dance Gavin Dance. You are a sucker for thinking that could ever be true. There are several parts, points, and aspects to a band, especially a band as complex as this. This song just stands to show that they are always thinking on their toes. The reason you don't like this song, is not because there isn't an obnoxious amount of screeching, like in the others, but because its more tame then what you're used to. Give it some fucking time. Plus, they're in a band to experiment musically. Who says they have to be confined to the same tired sound for their entire careers?

When Jonny left, everyone said DGD is dead.

    They're better then ever.

    This will be no different.

    General CommentBest DGD lineup possible:
Clean Vocals: Kurt Travis. His sucky live singing gives him an excuse to hand a fan the mic every now and then to sing a line, which makes live performances so epic. Also, the cowbell or whatever the hell he plays is awesome. He can hold his owns screaming a few lines, too, which makes him extremely versatile.

Screamer: Jon Mess. His lyrics are so clever, and his unique scream makes DGD stick out.

Lead Guitar: Will Swan. Probably the best guitarist on the scene, in terms of creativity.

Guitar 2: Zac Garren. The current combo with Will he has going is Godly. He's also very open about the band and is pretty much the messenger of truth, in my eyes. He'll say anything, and a lot of people hate him and call him a douche for that, but I give him mad props.

Bassist: Doesn't really matter, they go through like 1 a year and I've heard Will writes most of their parts anyway.

Drums: Matt Mingus, since there can't be any other. We miss his beard, though.

    All in all:
Amazing band right now, but they were best when they were a 6 piece. Their Self Titled/Untitled (I've heard it both ways) album is the band performing at their peak.

    My InterpretationTo feel her touch
It's almost impossible to hold still
Maybe we can go back to the way it was
Well, at least let me love you the same
(I feel like this part he is talking about how when he feels her touch he loses all control, he is referring to someone he was been with in the past, and he wants it to go back to the way it was except without any of the bad stuff.)

I got lies to tell your children
When my smile pierces through your bones
    Right through your bones
    (Through your bones)
(I honestly have no idea what this means. However, I think this is just like DGD to throw in some random lyrics that no one understands.)
The grass is green inside my yard
I can make you laugh so fucking hard it hurts you
    Inside your bones
    (Inside your bones)
    (Same here ^^)
    When she talks, I listen
    She's in the shower
    and her skin glistens
Like, oh my god, I like it
Like, oh, oh god, I like it
(I think this is another guy speaking. I think this is about the original guys ex, but in the perspective of a new man. He is talking about how he listens to her because he know she's had problems with that in the past. He's also talking about how when he looks at her, he sees how beautiful she is, and he likes it.)
I suggest a drive, let's take the back road
Let's get lost, let's lose our minds
Hey, little girl, I think we found it tonight
I think we glow that fucking bright, oh
And, when she laughs, I like it
Like, "Oh ha ha ha ha ha"
(Now he is slowly falling in love with her, suggesting they go on a road trip alone together to have a good time. He thinks they are perfect for each other, and he is still seeing all these little things he likes about her, such as her laugh)
I got lies to tell your children
When my smile pierces through your bones
    Right through your bones
    (Through your bones)
The grass is green inside my yard
I can make make you laugh so fucking hard it hurts you
    Inside your bones
    (Inside your bones)
    (Everything I already said above^^)
"Holy shit, she smells like heaven
Been best friends since we were eleven
And, oh my god, I like her..."
(He's talking about how he loves the way she smells, and how he's been waiting for an opportunity to be with her since they were little, and he is just now admitting out loud that he really likes her)
"Yeah, I heard you like her.
Baby, I thought that we had something
Compared to him, I'm next to nothing
Oh my god, I like her..."
"Yeah, I heard you like her..."
(This is going back to the original guy, who is now realized to be someone who knows the new guy. He is disappointed to hear that he likes her, and he is then thinking to himself that next to this other guy, he is not so good, and he realizes that he is still in love with her, and he doesn't want this other guy to have her.)

I am a million fucking bucks.
I am a thousand fucking fucks.
    Your bitch is dead,
She was hit by a truck.
    What the fuck?
(I'm not quite sure here, but I'm gonna take a guess. This is the original guy in a rage about the girl he loves being with the new guy instead of him.)

"Holy shit, she smells like heaven
Been best friends since we were eleven
And, oh my god, I like her..."
    (What I said above^^)
"Yeah, I heard you like her.
Baby, I thought that we had something
Compared to him, I'm next to nothing
Oh my god, I like her..."
"Yeah, I heard you like her..."
    (Above^^)
