crack crack tea cake
sweet sweet jamaica
goddamn that's sweet
sweet sweet jamaica

it was a hairnet paradise
god bless them eyes
it was a hairnet paradise
brown, black, blue eyes

    General Commenti think most of these lyrics sound correct, i've been waiting for someone to transcribe this fantastic song.
    i don't really think that "i praised in demise" sounds like what she sings though. oh and, what is "tamiga"?

    General Commenti agree with hana187, although i think "burn the blue eyes" makes the song much more powerful. i mean, if you've heard armageddon you'll get the thing about the blue eyes, and it's beautiful.
    anyway, i dont think it's "i praised in demise" too. it's just not right.
    and the "tamiga" thing, well... i live in brazil. here, "amiga" is a female friend ("amigo" is a male one). me and a friend were discussing about what "tamiga" could mean, and we figured that out, because cocorosie lyrics often mix other languages in them... maybe it's just "sweet amiga", and the T came out of the "sweet" thing... well, anyways. i'm just taking a guess.

    we have to consider that this song was transcribed only once, too. it's hard to say for sure...

    General CommentWell, this was my translation:

    A bad crowd, tea, cake and sweet, sweetest Jamaica. Goddamn that is sweet... sweet, sweet Jamaica. It was a hairnet paradise, God bless them eyes... it was a hairnet paradise: brown, black, blue eyes. Blue eyes.

    I see someone else above had the same idea about "God bless them eyes". :}

    General CommentI corrected the lyrics. It's not "bad crowd tea cake", it's "crack crack tea cake". The song is even given the name Crack Crack Tea Cake in one video. Also it's not "garden that's sweet", it's "goddamn that's sweet". And it's not "I praised in demise", it's "god bless them eyes". The last line is actually also in the "Hairnet Paradise/Nothing but God" version on this very site.
