I fly out to see you
But nobody's home.
So I drive out to meet you
Now everyone knows

And they call me out,
Screaming, "I told you so!"
And I'm falling down
Knowing I lost my love again

I ask the neighbors if they've seen you
They say that you're gone.
You left your car in the driveway
And your coat by the door.

And they call me out,
Screaming, "I told you so!"
And I'm falling down
Knowing I lost my love again

La da da da....

And they call me out,
Screaming, "I told you so!"
And I'm falling down
Knowing I lost my love

And they call me out,
Screaming, "I told you so!"
And I'm falling down
Knowing I lost my love again

I say that I need you
Now everyone knows

General CommentSo this is probably way wrong, but I kinda got the feeling that she committed suicide.

"I ask the neighbors if they've seen you
    They say that you're gone.
You left your car in the driveway
And your coat by the door.
    And they call me out,
    Screaming, "I told you so!"
    And I'm falling down
Knowing I lost my love again"

Maybe she'd been depressed for a while, and he was warned about it, but by the time he comes around, it's too late and she's gone.

My OpinionI get the feeling that this is an off and on relationship. That people have told them it won't work out and that she'll betray him, leave him, like she has before (Knowing I lost my love again). So when it finally does happen again they tell him "I told you so!"
