diot job 203
newspaper shoot their letters at me
i'm alone at last with every other me
guardian help me, angel shoot
all you ghosts and stand by and salute
and explain:
why is everything so locked up.
lake is empty, lake is full,
people say it's a push and pull
i know i did the wrong mistake again.
guardian help me, angel shoot
all you ghosts and stand by and salute
and explain:
why is everything so locked up.
i don't blame it on the front row
don't blame it on them ruin class
cause i know they stay
don't blame it on the signals
don't blame it on the logbooks
cause i know they stray
like all the cars in new york
like all the lights on new year
like all these gloomy planets
you know they stay
anyway.

General CommentWoo, first comment on a great song!

I don't want to comment on the meaning of the entire song. However, one line strikes me as particularly beautiful:

"i know i did the wrong mistake again."

Given the choice of two mistakes, you chose the one that you thought would be worth making, only to find out you've suffered and sighed for nothing. I just think that's a very beautiful way of saying it.

General Commenti can relate. hehe. i'm in the situation.
i guess basically. you make the same mistake for having the mentality of "i've invested too much time with the person." you stay because the person is worth it? why is everything so locked up. why does this person have such a sturdy wall? haha im just ranting. idk what my point is.
