"No More Room To Breathe" as written by and Maike Haini/climer Maile....
You've got to know by now
That stepping in and out won't bring you down
Until you make it definite
6:15 sacrifice your rest
I thought you said you're different?
From those who believe in it
They believe (in Universities)

Oh, not another mind made up
For doing nothing more than all you see
They've got no more room to breathe
Until we just get them to

Say we'll make them say
That we've been down and out all day
If your education brings you home
Why are you still away?

So give it up if you're not still trying to
Hold it up in your four-time windowed room
I've got the feeling that you're not
Using up all of your best bets
On plans that you still don't have set
For those who believe in it
They believe,
Until we just get them to

Say we'll make them say
That we've been down and out all day
If your education brings you home
Why are you still away?

See we'll make them see
That we've got no more room to breathe
If your education brings you home
Why are you still away?

I gave it all the thought you said you needed
But the minutes got repeated for too long
Far too long
Can you save us all from the thought you said you needed
'Cause I feel like I've competed for too long
Far too long

We've got no more room to breathe
Until we just get them to see
We've got no more room to breathe
Until we just get them to

Say we'll make them say
That we've been down and out all day
If your education brings you home
Why are you still away?

See we'll make them see
That we've got no more room to breathe
If your education brings you home
Why are you still away

    General Commentits about their parents.

their parents where mainstream and wanted them to go to college and stuff.
    and when they say:
"I thought you said you're different?
from those who believe in it
    they believe (in Universities)...."
shows that their parents told them that they were talented and unique. 'different'

"I gave it all the thought you said you needed"
shows his parents probably told him to think about it.
[about being in his band rather than going to a university.]

"but the minutes got repeated for to long"
shows that he didnt even need to think about it cause he knew exactly what he wanted to do.

    "no more room to breathe"
their parents are suffocating them with all the college and 'what are you going to do with your life' stuff.

    love this song.

it really makes me want to do what i want and not what my parents want. XD

General CommentI think the song is about deciding what you want to do with your life as well as the overall pressures of college. If you watch the music video, the message is pretty clear. Love these guys!!

General CommentThis song is about not succumbing to the pressure that society puts upon young adults to go to university. Instead, these lyrics advocate following your dreams, showing that this 'accepted path' is not for everyone ("If your education brings you home / Why are you still away?")I also take the "no more room to breathe" as feeling suffocated by the weight of society's expectations

It was written when TFT was starting out as a serious band, and were obviously being looked down upon by some for ditching a formal education and become a full-time touring band.

General Commenti think this song is about a long distance relationship -- specifically with one of the members away at college.

she keeps walking in and out of what they have, they are nothing serious -- nothing definite. he says "I thought you said you're different? from those who believe in it they believe (in Universities)" meaning that he thought she was different, but all these things turn out the same. shes a typical immature college girl, not ready to give him a real commitment. "So give it up if you're not still trying to hold it up in your four-time windowed room I've got the feeling that you're not using up all of your best bets"

plus he feels like he's competeing with all the other people shes with at college. shes using her "education" as an excuse to stay away at college -- but shes still away from him.

they ''have no more room to breathe'' in their relationship, aka they cant do anything or change the current circumstances.

    TFT is absolutely brilliant.
