I am the one, your help I've refused
Your offering hand just set off the fuse
I am the rock that pushes away
I gave up tomorrow to spite today

Too proud to beg
Too stubborn to try
I?d look in your face
And spit in your eye

But I'm willing to find what's really inside
And show I am strong enough to

Trust in you.
Trust in you.
Trust in you.
Pull me up
Quo modo ? shadow to light
Quo modo ? shadow to light
Quo modo ? pull me up
Pull me up
Cause I am ready

I am the one who blames only you
The flame in my eyes now blackens my view
I am the one who wanders alone
Darkness inside blocks how you've shone

Who tied the other
End of my rope?
I want to move on
I want to have hope

So I'm willing to change
I'm going to try
To show I am strong enough to

putting the fact that it sounds like smash aside, i absolutely love this song lyrically. it seems less like this person has screwed him over to me, though. it seems like everyone else has screwed him over, and this one person is actually trustworthy, but because he's been burned so many times he keeps pushing the person away. he's trying to find the strength to put his negative experiences aside and trust in this person.

perhaps it sounds this way to me because i am in this situation now. that's why i love it. i have to decide whether i have the courage to trust in the most important person in my life, because so many people have proven untrustworthy in the past. this song speaks to me. i'm willing to change and try.

It sounds to me like this is Dexter saying, despite all the horrible crap he's gone through in life, he is now finally willing to believe in God.

nah, reminds me more of a xnay on the hombre song. he cant trust this person cuz they have screwed him over so many times, but he has to trust him now for some reason and tries his hardest to do so, its about a back stabbing friend who use to be a best friend forever.

no real need to bash offspring for using the same beat, its the chorus and the beat that jacks you up is it not. atleast they're trying to improve and not steal beats and modify em from other bands

Yah its sounds like that to me too. God is always willing but he keeps pushing him away and quo modo means "how can this be possible" and was used by Mary when the angel Gabriel appeared to her. I really think this is a song to God, either way its awsum!!

it sounds to me like the vocals is refering to a person who has done everything they can to help him but due to his pride, he's always brushed them off (rudely I add)...but the person (who I do not believe is God, I must say) keeps trying anyways. The song is about him finally swallowing his pride and accepting help from the one person who has always been there for him. (I dunno. I kinda get the impression it's an older sibling or a parent...maybe a girlfriend)

Am I the only one who thinks that the opening line sounds like "I am the one your Heaven refused?"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

American Town

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
