I'm staring at the cracks, and all the lines you wrote to get me home.
It's not over yet;
I'll speak the same until it breaks my jaw,
and it breaks my heart to see you this way.

So I'll pray for the day,
that new things will come to wash these ones away.

It's not over yet x3
It's not over at all.

I'm staring at the cracks and all the lines you wrote to get me home.

So I'll pray for the day, that new things will come to wash these ones away.

There's something attractive in a lack of direction,
And you look so lost. And oh you look so lost. x2
And oh you look so lost. And oh you look so lost

General Commentusually oceana takes things from a religious view so i'll roll with that first:

the first line is explaining doubt within ones faith, 'home' being heaven and the lines within the bible.
[i'll speak the same until it breaks my jaw]
meaning his arguments, his doubts are what he's going to stick to
but its painful to look at something you've onced loved, worshiped, &looked up to in a negative light.
[&it breaks my heart to see you this way]

despite the lack of faith, he waits for something new to pove him wrong and strengthn his weakness
    like he awaits an epiphany
creating the never ending argument, its not over.

[there's something attractive in a lack of direction]
meaning when one is lost and voulnerable thats when your ability to be attracted to something, good or bad to guide you is your strength.

General Comment"There's something attractive in a lack of direction" might also be referring to being attracted to someone who's not religious.
Religious people often refer to people who don't have faith as "lost sheep" or people who "lack direction[in their life/lives]".

I don't necessarily believe that this song is extremely religious, but I don't know. Everyone interprets things different I suppose.

General CommentThis song is about society's falling away from the Truth (Holy Bible), and Christians trying to help out those who are without God, and at the same time, defending the Christian faith.

"I'm staring at the cracks, and all the lines you wrote to get me home."
-He's saying that he is comparing the world's liberal and sinful view on things, and he is comparing them to the Holy Bible's guidance, and it's opinions on such things, and ultimately, sticking to the Holy Bible and avoiding temptation.

    "It's not over yet;
I'll speak the same until it breaks my jaw,
and it breaks my heart to see you this way."
-He's saying here that even though he is a saved Christian, he will not give up on atheists.

"I'll speak the same until my jaw breaks." He will not stop
defending Christianity, and he will continue to preach to the unsaved. "and it breaks my heart to see you this way." This man is obviously a true Christian, and he has love and sympathy for everyone, including those whom he does not necessarily have the same views as (atheists/agnostics). He does not want to see these people suffering because of Godlessness anymore, and it makes him miserable to know that he could be these people's last and only hope to be saved, and if he fails to convert them, he fails a personal test set before himself, and they will not make it into Heaven. It is obvious that he is failing to save them, so far.

"So I'll pray for the day,
that new things will come to wash these ones away."
-He's hoping and praying to the LORD that these non-believers will see the error in their ways, and begin to live their lives in the right way, for Christ. As he says earlier, the fact that they are destroying their own lives is making him sad as well.

"There's something attractive in a lack of direction,
And you look so lost. And oh you look so lost.
And oh you look so lost. And oh you look so lost."
-He is saying that, even though secularism, immorality, and liberalism is destroying lives, it seems pleasurable, and even has an addictive nature.
"and you look oh so lost." he is possibly talking to a headstrong atheist about religion, and he is pointing out that there is obviously something missing from his/her life.

This is what the song means to me. It's a great song.
    :)
