Where in this world could I go
But to the plane
Where in this world could I go
But to the speeding train
Where in this world could I go
But to the road
That takes me away

There's no escape from this circling place
No no escape from this circling place
With all of us here on this circling place
There's no good night
It's not a good night

Where in this world could I go
But to the wires
Where in this world could I go
But to the speeding wires
Where in this world could I go
But to the chord
That takes me away

There's no escape from this circling place
No no escape from this circling place
With all of us here on this speeding place
There's no good night
It's not a good night

There's no escape from this circling place
No no escape from this circling place
With all of us here on this circling place
There's no good night
It's not a good night

There's no escape from this circling place
No no escape from this circling place
With all of us here on this speeding place
There's no good night
It's not a good night

General Commenttrapped in the city, society, the human race, i don't know... it would be too hard to detach. leaves one feeling a bit lost.

My Interpretationnotwist is by far one of the most musically talented groups of our time. the songs about escaping from reality via transportation and music. though, there is no possible escape from the human race.

General CommentWe feel trapped/abandoned on this "circling place" the Earth, Human society, daily routines. Our desperation to escape the stifling mundanity of our lives is what compels us to leave what is familiar and travel. Travel provides no relief from these feelings of desperation and hopelessness as people are fundamentally the same wherever you go. I think the lines "There's no good night
It's not a good night" is a reference to Dylan Thomas' poem Do not go gentle into that good night. There is no afterlife, this life here on Earth is all there is for us. There is no escape from this material existence.
