"Enough" as written by and David/donegan Draiman....
(We don't want men, We want everything)
(We've chosen to want everything)

We don't want men, who want everything
We've stolen in this suffering
And we told them to want everything
But use caution in what you believe
And we're haunted, deny everything
Controlling in this suffering
And they're broken, and lost everything
It's so much easier to leave

Take their hope away
Take their life away
Feeling nothing left inside

When your own have died
And there's no more pride
When your soul is frozen
It's had enough
When your heart is broken
A thousand times
With every moment
Is that enough?

We are don't want men, we take everything
I'm taunted in this suffering
And our forces surround everything
Make it impossible to see

Take their hope away
Take their life away
Feeling nothing left inside

When your own have died
And there's no more pride
When your soul is frozen
It's had enough
When your heart is broken
A thousand times
With every moment
Is that enough?

Haven't we suffered enough now, haven't we suffered enough now
Haven't we suffered enough damage's then I can bear
Haven't we suffered enough now, haven't we suffered enough now
Haven't we suffered enough damage's then I can bear

Did they even tell the reason why
Countless sons and daughters sent to die
Can you even comprehend the pain

When your own have died
And there's no more pride
When your soul is frozen
It's had enough
When your heart is broken
A thousand times
With every moment
Is that enough?

When you're out of time
In this lullaby (In this lullaby)
When your soul is frozen
It's had enough (It's had enough)
When your heart is broken
A thousand times (A thousand times)
Will that be only?
Is that enough?

General CommentOh man, this song almost made me cry.

I hear it as a political song about our government putting down society and keeping them in check. The people at the top don't care about the ridiculous number of deaths for unnecessary war.

The majority of the rich want to keep the wars coming so that the status quo is maintained, and their family tree stays wealthy at the expense of human lives.

General CommentI think that this song could also be referencing the holocaust. The lead singer is Jewish.

General CommentI know that this site is about being subjective, but excuse me if I call Raspo's opinion absolutely ridiculous. You took one line from the song and based the entire meaning of it on something so silly like that, when it's clear the song is talking about the awful government in this country. And if that is wrong, then at least I was probably closer than you.

General CommentAs a Jew, I can really relate this song to the hollocaust. I really think this is what the song is singing about, but does anyone know where I can find what David has to say about it? This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

General CommentAccording to vocalist David Draiman, the song's meaning is a message to the world leaders. Letting them know about the pain they caused by all the people who have fought and died in war and asking them, "Isn't death alone a good enough reason to stop all of this conflict?"

General Commentthis song almost made me cry too. the chorus is so heartbreaking. and i think kingpum is correct on the meaning

the chorus> the soldiers losing their family and friends, with so many people dying every day hence the - when your heart is broken a thousand times.

but the lyrics are very wrong. they are

    we dong want them
    we want eveerything
and weve stolen, in this suffering
    and weve told them
to want everything but use caution in what you believe
    and the haunted
    deny everything
    controling, in this suffering
    when theyre broken
    and lost everything
theyre so much easier to lead

    take their hope away
    take their life away
    leave them nothing left inside
