Something has gone wrong,
blame me first as long
As we open up our eyes,
why do we justify
These foolish who are burning,
all whats good and right

If we don't wake up soon this burden will be long
If we don't wake up soon, all we ever knew
Will be gone

This comfort so decieving,
all common sense aside
This world wonders grieveing,
but from the depths we hide
We question of this hatred,
as we sacrafice
It's comatose you see,
how much longer can we bleed
Before we come to our senses again

If we don't wake up soon, this burden will be long
If we don't wake up soon, all we ever knew will be gone

If we don't wake up soon, this burden will be long
If we don't wake up soon, all we ever knew will be gone

General CommentI believe this song is about a couple who have turned a blind eye to their falling apart relationship. They must acknowledge the changes or else they will continue to carry the "burden" of feeling "comatose" toward the relationship and each other. If they don't acknowledge the current state of being, they will completely forget what drew them together in the first place and there won't be any hope for the future.

My InterpretationI actually disagree. There's phrases in the song that makes me think I cannot be about a relationship.

    "why do we justify
    THESE FOOLISH who are burning,
    all whats good and right"

    "This world wonders grieveing,
but from the depths we hide"

He's talking about society and how every thing is falling apart. There are people who are destroying the world as we know it and we are standing by letting them. The "we" he is talking about are the ones who know they should be doing something about it, but we don't because we've been lazy and careless. Society is falling apart because of our comatose.

If you read it again with that mindset it makes sense.
