(Matt Embrees side project, Love You Moon)

Get in the game, get in the game.
Come on wheres your hustle boy you should be ashamed.
Get in the game, get in the game. Gonna count out all the souls that would have loved to have youre name.

On the television in the living room, we're eating off the dinner plates we shovel with our spoons. Air is getting thicker now eyes are far from shut.
You heard another language right before his throat was cut.

All I can hear is a roar from the beasts that line the colessium floor.
Saying that without a doubt the dirts not damp enough, the fingers on the lever and theyre holding in their guts.

It's all about revenge now thats all there ever is.
Numbers never matter and always they fall in your favor.
We create the problem you started off to solve.
The other hand erases the equations on the wall.
Always something in your way.

All I can hear is a roar from the beasts that line the colessium floor.
Saying that without a doubt the dirts not damp enough, the fingers on the lever and theyre holding in their guts.
(Holding in their guts)

Theyre in the desert when people stop to fall.
The comments of the officer are equal to the law.
Lower in their minds couldnt find the reason for.
Palace for the forigen sand and eyes filled with scorn.
Well the taste is in your mouth now you never had enough.
Yeah the pretty colors and the savior and your plams are never rough.
Cause you only touch the partings, the receviers and the wheel.
And you operate the tounge that dictates how to feel.

All I can hear is a roar from the beasts that line the colessium floor.
Saying there without a doubt the dirts not damp enough, the fingers on the triggers and theyre groaning in their guts.

Wave that flag, come on wave that flag.
Red is for the blood and the young man's dead.

Get in the game, get in the game.
Come on wheres your hustle boy you should be ashamed.
Get in the game, get in the game. Gonna count out all the souls that would have loved to have youre name.

General Commentcouple of corrections (i think) to these lyrics:

"It's all about revenge now, we'll all be leverage, numbers never matter as long as they fall in your favour"

"Recreate the problem you started off to solve"

i think it's "groaning in their guts" not 'holding'

    the 'quiet' bit:

"Later in the desert the people start to fall
The commands of the officer are equal to the law
And nowhere in their minds can they find a reason for
Palates full of foreign sand and eyes filled with scorn"

anyway. this song is amazing, really powerful - Nicholas Berg was an american hostage beheaded in Iraq a few years ago. i think the song's basically saying how futile the war is, how it's achieved nothing, the soldiers hate being there ('nowhere in their minds can they find a reason for' etc) and the people higher up the army chain of command never have to deal with the realities of war ('your palms are never rough'). the bit about 'revenge' could relate to the fact that Berg was supposedly killed in retaliation for the torture & humiliation of prisoners at Abu Ghraib.
