Slipped on my shoes and made myself look somewhat right
Cause I can't be at home tonight
And I have no clue as to what I'm doin here but
Let me lay on your bed for a day
Cause it's a long time still until tomorrow

All my insecurities are breakin me up inside
You light another cigarette and my eyes are on fire

Lightnin strikes me only in waves
And I know I'm safe for now
But I know the rest is on its way

I know it isn't easy
Nothin is the way I want it
All this will pass
Cause it's only as the day is long

This is everything I am today. One minute I am swelling and want to fly off the edge of a cliff and the next I want to die in the woods alone with the rain pooling in my eyes. And it's a long way still until tomorrow.
