"Shut Up and Let Me Go" as written by and White/de Martino....
Hey

Shut up and let me go
This hurts, I tell you so
For the last time you will kiss my lips
Now shut up and let me go
Your jeans were once so clean
I bet you changed your wardrobe since we met

Now, oh so easily you're over me
Gone is love
It's you that ought to be holding me
I'm not containable
This turns up
It's not sustainable

I ain't freakin'
I ain't fakin' this
I ain't freakin'
I ain't fakin' this
I ain't freakin'
I ain't fakin' this
Shut up and let me go
Hey

Shut up and let me go
This hurts, well, I can't show
For the last time you had me in bits
Now shut up and let me go
For fear of living in regret
I changed this one when we first met

Now oh so easily you're over me
Gone is love
It's me that ought to be moving on
You're not adorable
I want something unignorable

I ain't freakin'
I ain't fakin' this
I ain't freakin'
I ain't fakin' this
I ain't freakin'
I ain't fakin' this
Shut up and let me go
Hey

Oh love, hold this
Hey

Hey

Shut up and let me go
This hurts, I told you so
For the last time you will kiss my lips
Now shut up and let me go
Hey

General CommentLove this song, discovered it through the new Apple ad.

It's definitely about a breakup. For some reason, the guy left her and said she didn't mean anything to him anymore, thus "Now oh so easily your over me / Gone is love."

However, the guy comes back to apologize, but the girl is in the process of moving on. The idea that he wants back is tempting ("It's you that ought to be holding me") but she knows that she needs to move on. This battled between herself is hurting her ("This hurts I told you so") She says that he was attracted to her, and that he was never really attractive to her ("You're not adorable / I was something unignorable.") And so, she tells him "shut up and let me go"

General CommentIt's damn catchy really - I can't stop listening to it!

No big implicit lyrics here - very self explanatory. They break up, he broke her heart, he wants her back - she's having none of it as she's over him and can see right through him.

General Commentwell the song is catchy, but im gonna spell it out here...
this song is about a resentful bitch who thought the relationship at her control, but then the guy leaves and she realizes that shes the one caught up in it and denies it believing hes the one that she feel like this because she was too good for him
