"Parachute (Japanese and English Lyrics)" as written by and Shugo Tokumaru....
Original Japanese lyrics:
緑の交差点でパラシュート開けど
速すぎ間に合わずシニガミが横切った
大きな風になびくようだ all day holiday
all day holiday 帰り道は遠くて
ハシゴに手を伸ばして天窓の扉を
開けると青いづぎる パラシュート パラシュート パラシュート

諦めてハシゴで降りたら元の場所さ
大きな風になびくようだ all day holiday
all day holiday 帰り道は遠くて
迷いのかじをとれ パラシュート パラシュート パラシュート

ハシゴに手を伸ばして天窓の扉を
開けると青いづぎる パラシュート パラシュート パラシュート
どこに降りればいいのか あぶく声も風に
迷いのかじをとれ パラシュート パラシュート パラシュート
パラシュート パラシュート パラシュート
パラシュート パラシュート パラシュート

Translated lyrics:
A parachute opened too soon at a plant-covered intersection
A demon made his crossing just in time
And fluttered in a gust of wind
All Day Holiday
All Day Holiday
The path back home is far away
Hands reach for a ladder and a too-blue skylight opens

If you give up on climbing the ladder,
You’ll get blown away by a big wind.
All Day Holiday
All Day Holiday
The path home is far away
Catch the flame of confusion! Parachute, Parachute, Parachute!

Hands reach for a ladder and a too-blue skylight opens
Parachute, Parachute, Parachute!
Where’s the best place to land?
The frothing voice becomes wind, too
Catch the flame of confusion!
Parachute, parachute, parachute!
Parachute, parachute, parachute!
Parachute, parachute, parachute!

General CommentOne of my favorite experimental pop songs ever. He says he writes his songs according to dreams he has.

Lyric CorrectionGreat song, but wow, as a Japanese speaker I can't help but notice that the English translation is completely incompetent.

I mean, granted, whoever did this picked a tough nut to crack, as many of these lyrics are hard to hear on record and some of the words are debatable in meaning, but still, there's no excuse for errors the like of confusing 早すぎ and 速すぎ when kanji are provided!

Oh well. I'll post some corrections here tomorrow, after I've had time to sleep.

My InterpretationWhile the lyrics seem bizarre, to say the least, it's pretty comprehensible with the translation on offer.

From what I gather of the song it's about falling off the ladder (the path to your dreams) when the wind knocks you off (setbacks), landing on earth with your parachute (brushing it off gently), and getting back up on the ladder to reach the blue sky (your main goal), no matter how many times you keep falling off.

In short: NEVER GIVE UP! No matter how many times the wind pushes you back!

It's a very optimistic song, especially in this day and age. Shugo mostly writes happy music, even if we don't know what he's saying initially.
