Outreaching the coldest left side
The city sleeps beneath me
Unrested, the longest night drives
The city sleeps tonight

Help, help me out some
Help, help me get this going

A thousand miles by night, straight as the crow flies
Could be a losing fight but never realized
Chasing right and wrong, countless miles from home
Without an end in sight, this is a battle song

Outreaching the coldest left side
The city sleeps beneath me
Unrested, the longest night drives
The city sleeps tonight

Help, help me out some
Help, help me get this going

Drive until the morning light, straight as the crow flies
A thousand pints of tar, left tired burnt eyes
The distance always long, keep rolling on
The highway's our own war, this is a battle song

A simple choice in life
Choose the left or the right
A simple choice in life
Choose the left or the right
Just keep it brutal

Outreaching the coldest left side
The city sleeps beneath me
Unrested, the longest night drives
The city sleeps tonight

Steady living the left hand
Steady living the left hand
Steady living the left hand
Steady living, the best that I can

General CommentDefinitely about touring, traveling night and day, wrecking your life just to get somewhere.
"Steady living the left hand"- left hand is the "sinister" hand, connected to the devil i.e. Lucifer. kind of a double-entendre, on the one hand he's being metal and fucking living it up like satan; on the other it's being on the left instead of the right, living for freedom and all that shit.

General Commentp.s. this song is heavily influenced by stoner metal- if you like this sludgy, pure headbanging shit check out Kyuss and Eyehategod. when they played this live you could feel the air thicken with the grit of scott's guitar and all you could do was bang your fucking head like it's 666...

General CommentI love this song! Definately about touring. Driving from city to city can get tiring and have you ever driven for long hours after hour? It can mess with your head. 'just keep it brutal' best line ever!!! :)
