Feeling ugly, looking pretty
Yellow ribbons, black graffiti
Word is written, bone is broken
No big secret left unspoken
Sun is painted in the corner
But it's never getting warmer
All the lies they keep on telling
But you never check the spelling

Flying bullets
Hit the targets
Wings and halos,
Five to seven
In this white robe
through the darkness
Paragliding
back to heaven!

Time is running we are sitting
Back together, just for splitting
You are crying in the corner
Always next and never former
Open up and let me hear it
Former body future spirit
Brain is useless, chair is rocking
Open doors for dead man walking

    Song Meaning

Ugh. I can't believe NONE of you has done their research.

First, here is a more correct translation of the original Russian lyrics (it's amazing how much songs sometimes change from one language to another):

"I’m drawing with black paint A dumb word on the wall This word is not important for me This word is not new for you It's vain for me It's necessary for you I’m drawing with black paint This drawing is very messy

Bullet in the heart Brain on the door Halos and wings We’re putting on This white robe Soul to heaven We put it in a box We let it go

Time is 20:10 again We're not together now You’re sitting in the corner and crying Maybe you’re fooling me I enjoy listening to you Open only your soul to me Thoughts won't be needed here The time is 20:20 again"

The song is based off of three poems written by a fan. According to T.A.T.U. themselves, it's against abortion, and harming others in general.

I think when she says "5 to 7" i think she means the cartridge of a gun.. as in the FN p90 or the FN five-seven since she was talking flying bullets hitting the targets... only thing I can think of when she says 5 to 7

    5 to 7...5 = humans 6= hell 7= heaven.

so 5 to 7 means from human to an "angel" "In this white robe through the darkness Paragliding back to heaven"

in some religions and other beliefs one is an angel before being born. once you're born you're human, and when it says "back to heaven" she died and is returning back into heaven.

that's at least what i think that little part means....

    great song.

    My Interpretation

I'm not sure if this is right but I think (if you've seen the video you know what i'm talking about): In the video the red head lady is dressed as a prostitute so I think she like represents the mother or the women who is pregnant. I think the black haired girl represents the baby because she's in jail. The red headed girl is also the women who signals for the men to shoot in the execution part. I think the black haired girl signifies the child and the prostitute signifies a women whose getting rid of her child even though it isn't the child's fault, its her fault. At the end I think the phone ringing signifies that the child shouldn't of had been killed.

I think some of the second verse is incorrect. But I guess it's no big deal. We don't know the official lyrics. They haven't even released this song yet. They sang it at a few concerts, but it's not "official".

I love the reference to "Dangerous and Moving". Sweet.

i think white robe is sorta about andels and heaven because flying bullets are when she gets shot hot the targets it hit her wings and halos are what some people think angels have i dont know about 5 to 7 but in this white robe people also think that they wear white robes or clothes back to heaven pretty much says it all that is my personal opinion tho

I've heard two different interpretations to this song. One of them is that this is a song about abortion, and the other interpretation suggest that Yulia died because she shot a man in there video All About Us.

    Song Meaning

I heard that the meaning was anti-abortion as well, and against killing in general.

Lena's quote from UCSB interview: "Like "Beliy Plashik," it's our new song. "Did you see the video? It's against abortions and against when someone kills another, or when somebody hurts another... it's against that, and against abortion."

I can see it, especially in the refrain.

    Song Meaning

I thought Five represents redemption..grace..? The number Six is man's number and Seven means perfection, completeness of a soul(1 represents god,Man/6 + God/1 = Complete,I guess that means back to heaven in a way.) Well thats according to the bible.

"In this white robe through the darkness Paragliding back to heaven"

Freedom through redemption leads to the spiritual completeness.

'You are crying in the corner Always next and never former'

Thinking about the future but never the past.

'Open up and let me hear it Former body future spirit'

Body is gone, but the soul lives on.

    Just my personal opinion.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
