"Why Does It End?" as written by Michael Ivins, Steven Drozd and Wayne Coyne....
Stars in the sky
Shining like they'd always be
Shining down on me
That's what I thought it'd be

When do they end? I don't know
Everything ends I know
You'd think the stars burn on forever
Why does it end?
Why does it end?

Your love was my life
Living like it'd always be
You here loving me
That's what I thought it'd be

Why does it end? I don't know
Everything ends I know
You'd think your love would go on forever
Why does it end?
Why does it end?

Why does it end? I don't know
Everything ends I know
You'd think that life could go on forever
Why does it end?
Why does it end?
Why does it end?

General CommentI tried to get the lyrics as best I could from listening to the song, because they don't seem to exist anywhere else. This song reminds me (not musically) of another Flaming Lips song, Suddenly Everything Has Changed (Death Anxiety Caused by Moments of Boredom). It's another musing on mortality, but not just of people, but of everything.

I find comfort in this song, surprisingly. It's nice to know that you aren't the only one who must some day cease to exist... that everything else in this universe will end some day as well. It sort of makes me feel like I fit in with the rest of existence.
