A thousand times I've seen you standing
Gravity like lunar landing
You make me wanna run till I find you
I shut the world away from here
Drift to you, you're all I hear
As everything we know fades to black

Half the time the world is ending
Truth is I am done pretending

I, never thought that I
Had anymore to give
You're pushing me so far
Here I am without you
Drink, to all that we have lost
Mistakes we have made
Everything will change
But, love remains the same

Find a place where we escape
Take you with me for a space
The city bus sounds just like a fridge
I walk the streets through seven bars
I have to find just where you are
The faces seem to blur
They're all the same

Half the time the world is ending
Truth is I am done pretending

I, never thought that I
Had anymore to give
You're pushing me so far
Here I am without you
Drink, to all that we have lost
Mistakes we have made
Everything will change
But, love remains the same

So much more to say
So much to be done
Don't you trick me now
We shall overcome
So all that's left is praying

But we, should have had the sun
We could have been inside
Instead we're over here

Half the time the world is ending
Truth is I am done pretending
Too much time too long defending
You and I are done pretending

I, never thought that I
Had anymore to give
You're pushing me so far
Here I am without you
Drink, to all that we have lost
Mistakes we have made
Everything will change
Everything will change

I, oh I,
I wish this could last forever
I, oh I,
as if we could last forever

Love remains the same
Love remains the same

Cant believe no ones said anything bout this song, Its really amazing, very unique vocals, quite different from the Lead-singer-goes-solo sound. Gavin is very ok and i hope he gets d mainstream succes he's looking for.The song is quite explanatory i guess, when everthing else falls out of line, when all is lost, when d world is ending,....LOVE STILL REMAINS.

LMAO do you know who Gavin Rossdale is?

    HAHA.

He was the lead singer of Bush (90s) and institute (00s)

Another great song from him. Reminds me of "Inflatable."

love this song, and everything about it.

I love when he talks about too much time being spent on defending their love.

I can relate to that. When someone wastes all their time defending the fact that they actually love you, rather than just doing it!

I was never really a Bush fan (well, I've heard of them), I only liked "Glycerine" by them. Anyways: this is quite a surprise. This song is actually beautiful! I hear it on the radio all the time. The meaning is obvious: it's a love song, the tone of it makes it sound as if the narrator/singer is yearning for love and not just a "pretend" (possibly unrequited love).

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
