"Move Through Me" as written by Bjorn Gelotte, Anders Friden and Jesper Stromblad....
Consume the curse
That brings you down
A fading liar who wakes up alone

It's there in front of you

Invert this tragedy to come
And reclaim your future
This is a call to arms
One quest at a time

Feed the hunger
Climb on up
Repress the negative
You are not alone

It's there in front of you

Invert this tragedy to come
And reclaim your future
This is a call to arms
One quest at a time

Avoid the mould
Desperate you regress
Move through me
I'll be your triumph

Invert this tragedy to come
And reclaim your future
This is a call to arms
One quest at a time

General CommentI think there's A LOT of reference to World of Warcraft.

Call to arms is a quest name.... which can be done one at a time.

"its right there in front of you" ... there's a comic about it, because some of the quests are really easy, and you just feel like saying "BUT ITS RIGHT THERE!" ....

"consume the curse" - there's a move called remove curse. OR .. it could be in reference to the undead racial ability 'cannibalism'.

General CommentFantastic solo-part in this song!
About text, almost everything seems to be right, in my opinion. But some parts I here in the other way. For example, I don't hear phrase "you've decided to come", it seems to be "you want this tragedy to come", but this is how I hear it, i could be wrong too.

General CommentI'm not gonna ponder about this song's meaning before I get the lyrics straight. As far as I can see, no website has the right lyrics yet, since the first line in the chorus definitely isn't "you've decided to come". It sounds like "They want this tragedy to come" to me. At the moment I'm listening it through over and over.
Oh, and the last line in the chorus is "One quest at a time", not "Unrequested this time".

General Comment"a call to arms" is an expression. Usually means 'a call to battle or war'. To me it sounds like he's singing to someone who is in a bad state of mind. Either depressed or just has a lot of negativity, possibly looking to commit suicide. He's telling them they can change their ways and get out of the rut they're in if they battle back and "invert this tragedy to come" (could be a suicide reference).

"Move through me, I'll be your triumph"
He's saying that he'll be there to help this person along in their battle.

That's my take on it anyway. I love this song and the rest of the album. In Flames \m/

General CommentI think this song is for anyone who has every been hurt so bad they feel like just giving up, but the song calls for us to rise up and "move through" these bad times and to use the pain to make you stronger. And it can be for anything the loss of a love, the death of a family member, anything, but the song's meaning remains the same-Turn your pain into your strength.

"Consume the curse that brings you down"-take in and overwhelm the pain that has plagued you in order to overcome your hardship

"A fading liar who wakes up alone"-those who have wronged others will not find happiness or prosper

"Its there in front of you"-asking the listener 'cant you see the meaning behind this song? can't you see how to overcome this challenge?'

"Invert this tragedy to come and reclaim your future"-turn this pain into strength and move forward with your life, only now your stronger than before

"This is a call to arms"-this will not be an easy endevour. It's going to be, perhaps, your most difficult internal struggle ever. If you really want this, you're going to have to fight with everything you've got

"One quest at a time"-This struggle will not be easy so take it slow, one step at a time

"Feed the hunger"-consume your pain. drink it in and use it to fill the holes in your heart left behind by whatever it is that made them in the first place

"Climb on up"- rise above this pain. although it may feel impossible, like climbing the tallest mountain, rise above it

"Repress the negative"- rage against all that is wrong in your life. keep it down. keep it away

"you are not alone"-we have all experienced this before in some point of our lives. you have friends who understand what you are going through and are willing to help. we're here if you need us, all you have to do is reach out for help and it will come to you.

"Avoid the mould"- do not conform to the common grieving pain consumed individual. be different-be better than that

"Desperate you regress"-at this point, and for the rest of the song it seems that the writer is speaking to a specific individual. They're saying that the person they're speaking to is failing in their task of fighting back and rising above their pain. They're trying but slowly failing, and slipping away

"Move through me"-The writer is saying that they are the root of that individual's strife. The writer is urging them on calling for them to move through their pain which is represented/embodied by the writer

"I'll be your triumph"- The writer is saying that by the individual moving through the pain caused the writer they will be that individual's greatest victory. By moving through the immesurable pain caused by them the individual will be stronger than they ever were before. They are better than they ever have been before, and it is because of their pain and struggle in overcoming that pain.

This song has strong personal meaning to me because it helped me when time in my life were so hard I actually considered taking my own life. But it helped me move through and rise above a pit that I never thought I'd get out of alive. I hope others can see it as I do- a symbol of hope, motivation to keep on living...

"I meet a lot of people where everything seems to go badly for them. They have a lot of really ****ed up things that seem to happen in their life, so its about reaching out and trying to help someone move away from that. It's really heavy and has a stomping almost industrial chorus."
