"She Knows" as written by and Thomas Decarlo/burton Callaway....
Up, up and away she goes
Now I know that I know she knows
Could one live a lie?
Well neither will I
If she still try to try
But remarkably, my son,
All my work is done.
Wouldn't surprise me to see her ghost
She would like me to know she knows

And I'm almost sure
I was absolutely nothing before
Now I'm so, so much more
The one word that describes the past
I'm pretty much possessed
We are the reason, I suppose
And we've spoken so I know she knows

There was one to sacrifice
When you live more than twice
Or when I bet it's nice
Gonna be just like you
I'm giving my life, too
No other woman would wear your clothes
And it goes without saying she knows
She knows

General CommentSome of the lyrics are wrong:-

Up, up and away she goes.
Now I know that I know she knows.
Who would want to live a lie?
    Well neither would I.
Yet she still tried to try,
    but remarkably my son,
    all my work is done.
Wouldn't surprise me to see her ghost.
She would like me to know she knows.
    And I'm almost sure,
    I was absolutely nothing before.
Now I'm so, so much more.
The one word that describes it best,
    I'm pretty much posessed.
We are the reason I suppose,
and we've spoken so I know she knows.
    now what's one to sacrifice
(when you live more than twice)
oh well I bet it's nice.
    Gonna be just like you.
I'm giving my life to her.
No other woman would wear your clothes,
and it goes without saying she knows.
    She knows.

General CommentThis is one of the best songs from The odd couple. Gnarls Barkley is one of the few bands bringing back good music.

General CommentThis song is about is mother's passing. "I wouldn't be suprise to see her ghost". The lyrics above is incorrect. "I was absolutely nothing before".

General Commentyeah, he said in an interview that it's about his mother's passing and how he wishes she can see the man he has become, compared to what he was in his past, when she was alive. But this is like his message to his mother that he knows she can see him now, and that he's become a decent man and is no longer the thug/hoodlum he used to be.

General CommentHe's reflecting on the death of his mother. Cee-Lo, like most all of us, was "living a lie" and his mother was trying to get to him and live life the right way. With the passing of his mother, he is now living the life his mom wanted and is "so much more". Essentially, this is because Cee-lo truly believes his mother is now always with him and is now essentially given a second life through him (what's one to sacrifice when you live more than twice). So, he is essentially possessed by the spirit of his mother (in a good way-like how we are told as kids when someome close dies that they are always with us and watching over us). So, even though he never lived life how his mother wanted him to when she was living, he knows that "she knows" he has now become the man she always wanted him to be.
