"She Had The World" as written by Brendon Boyd Urie, Spencer James Smith, Jonathan Jacob Walker and George Ryan Ross....
She held the world upon a string
But she didn't ever hold me
Spun the stars on her fingernails
But it never made her happy
Cause she couldn't ever have me
She said she won the world at a carnival
But she could never win me
Cause she couldn't ever catch me

[Pre-Chorus]
I, I know why
Because when I look in her eyes
I just see the sky
When I look in her eyes
Well I, just see the sky

[Chorus]
I don't love you I'm just passing the time
You could love me if I knew how to lie
But who could love me?
I am out of my mind
Throwing a line out to sea
To see if I can catch a dream

The sun was always in her eyes

She didn't even see me
But that girl had so much love
she'd wanna kiss you all the time
Yeah, she'd wanna kiss you all the time

She said she won the world at a carnival
But I'm sure it didn't ruin her
Just made her more interesting
I'm sure it didn't ruin her
Just made her more interesting

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus]

General CommentThe song is basicaly saying how the girls amazing and can have any thing, but she was never happy because even though she had the world she never had the one she loved completly because he never really loved her,
he was just using her to entertain him.
'Because when I look in her eyes, I just see the sky.
' is basicly saying he tried to love her once but the spark just wasnt there so now hes jst putting up with it.

General Commenti love, love, love it
    it's like medieval-y sounding
it's like he's saying she cared about the world more than him

My InterpretationI can relate to this song a lot, but in a different way. I personally take this song about a guy who tries to love a girl, and the girl loves him a lot, but she doesn't pay attention on how the guy feels. The guy acts like he doesn't care about her, and just simply there to "pass the time" and saying that he has better things to do, such as "catch a dream".
"She held the world upon a string
But she didn't ever hold me
Spun the stars on her fingernails
But it never made her happy
Cause she couldn't ever have me
She said she'd won the world at a carnival
But she could never win me
Cause she couldn't ever catch me"
The girl is happy that she loves him, but it never made her happy because she doesn't think he feels the same, but he actually does. She couldn't catch him because she doesn't realize how he feels and what he is trying to do.

    "I, I know why
Because when I look in her eyes
    I just see the sky
When I look in her eyes
Well I, just see the sky"
He tries to tell her, but she gets distracted and never listens to what he has to say about her.
"I don’t love you I'm just passing the time
You could love me if I knew how to lie
    But who could love me?
I am out of my mind
Throwing a line out to sea
To see if I can catch a dream"
Denying her because he can't help that he can't say anything to her without being distracted. He thinks that's he's crazy and is surprised that a girl loves him so much.

"The sun was always in her eyes
    She didn't even see me
But that girl had so much love
she'd wanna kiss you all the time
Yeah, she'd wanna kiss you all the time"
She loves him, but she still can't see what he has to say.

She said she won the world at a carnival
    But I'm sure I didn’t ruin her
    Just made her more interesting
    I'm sure I didn’t ruin her
    Just made her more interesting
Their crazy relationship is just confusing people around them, but he didn't break her heart, he made her more boy-crazed and in-love.

That's my opinion, not many people may agree with me though.

General CommentI love this song. It's my favorite so far.
I especially love the part Ryan sings..."I don’t love you. I’m just passing the time. You could love me if I knew how to lie. But who could love me? I am out of my mind."

I haven't even really thought about the lyrics yet, I just like the sound. I'm interested in what people think it's about.

General CommentThis song is really sad. The meaning is pretty obvious though. Reminds me of me.

General CommentThey lyrics are pretty good...the whole, she won the world at a carnival, but she could never win me...pretty awesome.

The sound is, uh...different, lol. I get the whole medieval sounding thing. Definately there. I love Ryan, in some other songs he sings well. But this song, well, the parts he sings solo just don't sound right. It's like he can't hold the note as long as it needs to held, and it isn't the righ pitch or something...like when he sings "thowing a line out to seeeeeeaaaaa"...ya, just hurts my ears a bit, but i still love him.

General CommentI really like the medieval background of this song. And Ryan's part just completely makes the song.
This song is pretty obviously about Jac Vanek, I'd think.

But she didn’t ever win me.
~but she could never win me

    You would love me.
    ~you could love me

    She couldn’t even see me.

I'm not 100% sure about the last one, but iI think the other ones are right.
