We pave the roads we take
We bend before we break
Across the world with you
Across the world with you
The love you never found
Was right here all along
Waiting here for you
Waiting here for you
When words mean nothing I'll be here singing On and on and on and on
Worlds away I'll still be singing On and on and on and on
I know you feel like you've come to far
But you can always trace your steps back to the start
Tearing down what you had tried to build
Sometimes earthquakes have a chance to kill
When words mean nothing I'll be here singing On and on and on and on
Worlds away I'll still be singing On and on and on and on
When words mean nothing I'll be here singing On and on and on and on
Whoa
Worlds away I'll still be singing On and on and on and on
Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa
When words mean nothing I'll be here singing On and on and on and on
Worlds away I'll still be singing On and on and on and on

i think it's about how a girl completely overlooked the narrator. the narrator will get on with his life though.

this new album will have you be saying, "sonny who?"

this is such a good song! how are there not more comments?

anyways i agree with sofa king, i think the song is about how he thinks this girl never really cared/noticed him, but really he was there waiting in love with her just waiting for her to find him.

i somewhat agree that it is a girl that is overlooking the narrator, but i think it may have a deeper meaning to it.

"Tearing down what you had tried to build Sometimes earthquakes have a chance to kill"

what i'm getting out of that, is sometimes it's better to seek help than to tough things on your own because things might get so bad they could kill.

but then again, it could be the narrator saying he could be that someone's help.

i get more than one meaning to this song, fantastic though.

when it comes to the narrators point of view i think it is talking about how he is waiting for her and wants to help her in some way...and how even though she goes very far of her past will lead back to him.and no matter how far she goes he will always be there doing what he always did..

i dont know personally i think this song holds different meanings for different people.just have to say its a amazing song for theres.

It's about former frontman Sonny Moore. :B "Worlds away I'll still be singing On and on and on and on."

    That couldn't be more obvious.

Yeah, Matt has confirmed that this song is about Sonny Moore. It's quite a sad song once you figure out the song is about Sonny. FFTL feels regret, remorse, saddened for Sonny just leaving them. "The love you never found Was right here all along Waiting here for you" So what I conclude is that the rest of FFTL never wanted Sonny to leave the band; but he did anyways. They didn't want the friendship to end, to just give up on everything that they accomplished together. But you cannot control free will.

Indeed this song is about Sonny.

Sonny left FFTL for a number of reasons. He felt bullied around and taken advantage of by alot of people including the FFTL guys. He was so young. He also as very unhappy. We're talking borderline depression here! Ultimately it wasn't what he wanted to be doing with his life so he made a change. He didn't just leave FFTL without saying anything. He had good reason for doing what he did. See "We pave the roads we take We bend before we break Across the world with you Across the world with you" Meaning all of the things they went through togeather as a band could have been worked out.

"The love you never found Was right here all along Waiting here for you" Meaning exactly what it says. The love Sonny thought he didn't have from the guys was there all along.

"I know you feel like you've come to far But you can always trace your steps back to the start Tearing down what you had tried to build Sometimes earthquakes have a chance to kill" Meaning Sonny feels like he has come to far to quit. It's to late. What he wanted them to be as a band didn't turn out as planned.

That's just what I believe. I run a fansite for Sonny so I basically know the whole story beind his departure from FFTL. Once you know that the the song comes easily.

IHateSceneQueens has a unique point on the song.

I kind of felt the same meaning when I first listened to the song. I believe the song is about former frontman Sonny Moore.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
