"Never Wanted to Dance" as written by and James M Euringer....
[Bridge]
There is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself
There is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself
There is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself
No there is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself

[Chorus]
Never wanted to dance with nobody not you
Never wanted to dance with nobody but you
Never wanted to dance with nobody but you wouldn't take no for an answer you fucking bitch

Be nice
Be nice to me
Don't let me bleed
Be nice
Be nice to me
Don't let me go (don't let me go)
I am to cool for the second grade
I'm amazed
I'm afraid
I am to cool for the second grade
There is nothing you can do
That I have not already done to myself

Hey!

[Bridge]

[Chorus]

Be nice
Be nice to me
Don't let me bleed
Be nice
Be nice to me
Don't let me go (don't let me go)
I am to cool for the second grade
I'm amazed
I'm afraid
I am to cool for the second grade
There is nothing
You can do
That I have not already done to myself

Never wanted to dance with nobody but you wouldn't take no for an answer you fucking bitch
Never wanted to dance with nobody not you
Never wanted to dance with nobody but you
Never wanted to dance with nobody but you wouldn't take no for an answer you fucking bitch

General CommentIt could simply be about someone who's simply introverted. Doesn't want to spend time with many people, having low self esteem and mentally torturing themself hence: "There's nothing you can do that I've not already done to myself."

Maybe, he ends up at a party/prom and is coerced into dancing with some girl he really likes ("Be nice, be nice to me..."), but is too proud ("Too cool...") to actually admit this.

    Just an idea...

General CommentTo me it seems like the singer has found himself caring about somebody and is trying to cover for it by acting "cool" and invulnerable. He's never wanted to dance with nobody but her... but no, it's not that he actually wants to dance with her, it's just because she wouldn't take no for an answer. And if there's nothing she can do to him that he has not already done to himself, if there's no way she can hurt him that he hasn't already hurt himself, then there's no risk of getting seriously hurt by her.

But this is probably waaaay the wrong song to get sentimental about. Knowing MSI, Neon's interpretation is probably more accurate.

My InterpretationI think it's about him facing a girl ... He never wanted to be in a relationship, maybe to avoid hurt that he knew would come ... but the GIRL wouldn't take no from him ... "Never wanted to dance with nobody but you--
wouldn't take "no" for an answer, you fucking bitch!" And so he eventually gave in. And she might be blaming him for things or hurting him, hence the you fucking bitch part ... but he's saying that I've already been so hurt, or hurt myself, that there's nothing she could do to him that hasn't been done before. "There is nothing...
    You can do...
That I have not already done to myself... "
He wasn't ready for the relationship hence the
    "I'm amazed!
    I'm afraid!"

My Opinion"Never wanted to dance with nobody but you--
wouldn't take 'no' for an answer, you fucking bitch!"

    Does that sound like rape to anyone, or am I just THAT messed up? ^-^;

    "I'm amazed!
    I'm afraid!"

This could mean that he's ('he' being the speaker/singer) amazed/afraid of the new sensations that come with sex. He's afraid 'cause it's rape but he's amazed 'cause it's different when it's happening with another person. And the reason I think that it's his first time doing it with another person is because of this line:

"There is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself,"

Whatever he does, he doesn't seem very surprised because he's already done the same. THe only difference would be that now it's happening with another person.

    And the lines:

    "Be nice!
    Be nice to me,
    Don't ever be--
    Be nice!
    Be nice to me,
Don't let me go! (don't let me go)
I am too cool for the second...GRADE!"

Maybe he's torn between wanting it and hating it, 'cause first he's saying to be nice to him but then he breaks off by saying to never be nice to him and then goes back to begging to never let him go.
The second grade line kind of throws me off though.

Of course, this is just my own opinion. I haven't read anyone else's and I haven't seen the video because I wanted to input my own ideas first xP
[Emphasis on "my own opinion". I don't mean to offend anyone with this... 'cause, y'know, it happens sometimes.]

General CommentI think the song is about stubbornness, the speaker in the song has developed a crush on someone who he would like to be in a relationship with but at the same time he does not want to be 'controlled' by anyone (Never wanted to dance with nobody but you, but you wouldn't take no for an answer you fucking bitch).

the 'there is nothing you can do that I haven't already done to myself' is also about him being stubborn, he doesn't care what happens to himself as long as he is the one who does it.

General CommentI'm pretty sure it's about a guy who would rather be masturbating than with a girl, hence the "there is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself." There's some stuff I don't understand, but that seems to be what it's about...

    General CommentDunno about you guys bit I love the line;
'Never wanted to dance with nobody but you...'
The first time I listened to it I kind of accepted it as the 'typical' sort of lyric for a song... then all of a sudden after a couple of repeats of this line, just like you would usually hear, all of a sudden the real part of that sentance comes out...
'...wouldn't take "no" for an answer, you fucking bitch!'.
I pretty much just went 'woah, holy shit' and instantly wanted to start dancing.
    tl;dr amazing.

General CommentI can totally relate to Kira-chan's interprewtation, but I reckon it's actually a love song to Chantal of sorts (Dammit, I'm beign soppy! *blushes*). Most of the interpretation, I reckon, sums up how I feel about my girlfriend (and maybe people in general as well).

For me, the lines There's nothing you can do that I've not already done to myself." represent how much older Jimmy is than Chantal.

    "Be nice!
    Be nice to me,
Don't ever be--" - He wants her to be nice to him but then realises this means they're getting closer and kind of flinches away.

    Be nice!
    Be nice to me,
Don't let me go! (don't let me go) - Umm, this is slightly obvious.

"I am too cool for the second...GRADE!
    I'm amazed!
    I'm afraid!
I am too cool for the second..GRADE!" - Chantal makes Jimmy feel like a second-grader/little kid. and is amazed and afraid at the sort of feelings love brings up. I can sure relate to that!!

"Never wanted to dance with nobody, not you!
Never wanted to dance with nobody but you,
Never wanted to dance with nobody but you--
wouldn't take "no" for an answer, you fucking bitch!" - Secretly really liking Chantal but forcing himself to keep quiet about it (in the first line), wanting nobody else (2nd and 3rd lines. That is, if you ignore the 'but you').
Then the way the 3rd and 4th line flow into one another indicates that she just wouldn't take no for an answer.

For me, those four lines above represent how I sometimes love my girlfriend and don't want a relationship with anyone else, but then feel really resentful for being in a relationship with her (It'll be 4 years next month and - worryingly, IMO - neither of us is even 25 yet!)

    _:_:_:_

    So that's my two cents.

General CommentThis song is awesome. I love both the Birthday Massacre and Combichrist Electrohurtz remixes.

As for what it means? I've got no idea.
