Be for me and I’ll be for you
There is nothing boy that you and I couldn’t do
We hold a key in makin’ this love better
All we got to do is love and work together

Honey you do it to me
And I‘ll show you how good a girl can be
Let me know, ho ho that you’re for real
There’s nothin’ you could ask for I wouldn’t give
You see honey I believe its way if loves gonna work out
Gotta work both ways
Have your fun in this world you can do
You gotta pull for me and I gotta pull for you

Be for me and I’ll be for you
There is nothing boy that you and I couldn’t do
We hold a key in makin’ this love better
All we got to do is love and work together

Hey, Hey, Hey, honey gonna set up a home all over
You help and I ‘ll help you
And we can open all kind of doors
With you in my corner I’m in yours
Don’t let nothin’ yeah yeah turn us around
Let’s don’t ever, let each other down
Let’s give each other the script to make it true
You stand up for me and I’ll stand up for you

Be for me and I’ll be for you
There is nothing boy that you and I couldn’t do
We hold a key and makin’ this love better
All we got to do is love and work together
Work, work, yeah, hey hey!

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
