(Chorus)

Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Let's set ourselves on fire
Christmas time on Southsea pier
You know it's not as dire
As Christmas time in Southampton,
you know you really should,
Have Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Down with the Pompey hood
(the Pompey hood)

(Verse 1)

Whenever I go down that old clarence walkway
I always seem to think about that cold and snowy christmas day
When i walked down with the boys, to say to the one i loved
"OI! you got 60p Mate I NEED to catch that bus"

(Chorus)

Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Let's set ourselves on fire
Christmas time on Southsea pier
You know it's not as dire
As Christmas time in Southampton,
you know you really should,
Have Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Down with the Pompey hood
(the Pompey hood)

(verse 2)

When your down at Southsea pier you never can forget,
To wear a special Christmas scarf and fish with a Christmas net,
Because if you don't the friendly people way down there,
Will stop and look at you,
INFACT THEY ALL WILL STARE

(Chorus)

Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Let's set ourselves on fire
Christmas time on Southsea pier
You know it's not as dire
As Christmas time in Southampton,
you know you really should,
Have Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Down with the Pompey hood
(the Pompey hood)

(verse 3)
so when your way down south remember to celebrate it right,
Or you might wake the next morning with a nasty bite,
oooooo-wooooo-wooooo,

One more time you know you want to get down there,
To southsea Pier yeah,

(Chorus)

Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Let's set ourselves on fire(cos Christmas is near)
Christmas time on Southsea pier
You know it's not as dire
As Christmas time in Southampton,
you know you really should,
Have Christmas time on Southsea Pier
Down with the Pompey hood
(the Pompey hood)

Down with the pompey hood.....

General CommentThis is SUCH an emotional song, I just love it. Just thinking about the deep messages encoded into this song brings a tear to my eye. Good work AJOF. I hope they'll be a second album released soon.
