"Better Things" as written by and Samuel Lloyd Duckworth....
After shows all the time, meet the band do a line.
Hotel room, double bed, empty sex and then regret.
Kiss and tell, well tell a friend, so and so would like to spend
more time in my company, thinks he could fall in love with me.

And I'm sorry and I hope you don't mind,
it's just it's getting late and I'm feeling tired.
And I've got better things to do tonight,
than cultivate your vacuous desires

Three days later there's no texts
what the hell did you expect.
He's only in it for himself,
for the money for the wealth.
A shallow kiss to fill a void,
a broken heart a lonely boy,
you took advantage of his pain,
took his dignity for fame.

Chorus repeat x 2

General CommentAhhh, no-one's commented on this yet?!?!
I absolutely love this song to bits. Well, I love Kate Nash so when I heard she was doing this with Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly it just kinda blew my mind, really :)
I'm not so sure what it's about though.. I've contemplated maybe about a girl who slept with a famous person but he doesn't want to do all this with her or something... then he doesn't text back and now they're both lonely because of some issues? OK, I have no idea, really haha

General CommentThis song is so amazing. Yet it confuses me a little, with the chorus at least. There's almost 2 sides to it, the first part:

"Three days later there's no texts
what the hell did you expect.
He's only in it for himself,
for the money for the wealth."

makes the guy sound like the villain of the song. Then the next part:

"A shallow kiss to fill a void,
a broken heart a lonely boy,
you took advantage of his pain,
    took his dignity for fame."

almost portrays the girl as a femme fatale. Assuming it's a girl, anyway.
Anyone know what's going on? :3
