"Chick Lit" as written by Christopher Cain and Keith Murray....
I wouldn't be caught dead with your kind
And all the hot shot carrying on that you do
It's your only move

I wanna see you all buried alive
And I'll be up top carrying on over you
Only for you

I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again
I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again
If after all we still have high hopes and all is forgiven, if all is forgiven
I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again

You know that we've got some axes to grind
We've got some sharp tongue carrying on to do
It's your only move

I wanna see you all buried alive
And I'll be up top carrying on over you
Only for you

I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again
I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again
If after all we still have high hopes and all is forgiven, if all is forgiven
I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again

I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again
I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again
If after all we still have high hopes and all is forgiven, if all is forgiven
I asked you nicely once but I won't do that again, again

General Commentwow! definatly the highlight of the new album, i get the impression its aboutnot letting people walk all over you and take advantage of your good nature or something along those lines

General CommentI'm in with zedzed on this one, this is a top on the album, the upbeat riffs with that little synth slide underneath is awesome, and with the lyrics seem to be all about not just taking everything people throw at you and pushing back if they're kicking you about - the title also goes with that, since that's what alot of chic lit is about.

General CommentI agree with the first two comments. I reckon it is to do with not taking everything and standing up for yourself but I think Keith has more sinister ideas when he says "I asked you nicely one but I won't do that again". Like taking extreme action.

The video version is different to the album version. Towards the end you can hear people singing "hey, hey, hey, hey".

    Top song though.

General CommentThis was effing amazing live. The synth slide just makes the song so distinctive.

General CommentThey said it was just about two cowboys bringing in their 'herd' of animals on the behind the scenes footage of the film clip.
