Today is a good day
To flex the muscles of the weary
A Miracle's a miracle
Even when it's ordinary

We will walk on the water
Even though it seems scary
If someone will show us the way

*I messed up*
*No you didn't. One. Two. Three. Four.*

I shook hands with the man
Who honestly thinks he's
The grandson of Jesus
With a penchant for pinchies

He served us communion
Of cola and twinkies
I guess everyone has their own view

He stood on his soapbox
And told us a parable
Of a man with eye-glasses
So small they're unwearable

And the moral of the story
is that all looks terrible
Depending on what you look through
What you look through

He said, "Do unto yourself
As you do unto your neighbor
It's not an eye for an eye
It's a favor for a favor

"And it's okay if this world
Had a billion saviors
'Cause there's so many things to be saved

"Take my words with a boulder of salt
Or blame it on your devil
Always the scape-goat's fault
We all point fingers when it comes to a halt
Will somebody show us the way?
Show us the way"

General CommentI think this is the catchy-est song on the album.
    It has strong moral connections
    A Miracle's a miracle
    Even when it's ordinary

I could copy and paste this whole song.
    Its wholly amazing.
    I love stuff like this.

General CommentThis is one of my favorite songs off the new album. What I love most about Cloud Cult is the way in which I am able to relate to the lyrics -- and this song is no exception. It certainly follows the typical Cloud Cult themes of searching for meaning, perception, compassion for others, and a positive outlook...love it!

General CommentI honestly believe Craig Minowa could take any of these lyrics and throw them into any poetry publication ("Poetry Perspectives"? Bump Mary Angelou off the cover) and it would be one of the best pieces within the entire magazine.

This song, like a lot of the album, is just so hopeful and optimistic -- moreso than Cloud Cult usually tend to be -- and it just seems to be saying that there's enough out there for everybody. The line: "And it's okay if this world
    Had a billion saviors
'Cause there's so many things to be saved" particularly resonates.

I fucking love that line. It's like taking the whole philosophy of an eye for an eye and turning it into something productive. Put it in reverse, and it can be used to better the world.

General Commentgreat song. sounds vaguely anti-religion, but also positive, saying any crazy person can claim to be a profit but it's ok as long as the message is good
