i could have handled this a little better i know, but so far i have seen no evidence that this one would last.
it's not a personal attack i just got bored and stretched out.
let's not pretend to concern ourselves cos it's really not that bad.
i better stop now before i get caught, get caught in a lie that i can't prove.
i better stop now because it's not fair, for the both of us.
don't fail now, don't fail me now, don't fail now.
commitment comes and scares me away again.
don't fail now, don't fail me now, don't fail now.
what i've become has blown me away again.
to keep avoiding you could surely make things worse.
with a phone call i could be responsible for the first time in years.
i better stop now before i get caught, get caught in a lie that i can't prove.
i better stop now because it's not fair, for the both of us. don't fail now, don't fail me now, don't fail now. commitment comes and scares me away again.
don't fail now, don't fail me now, don't fail now.
what i've become has blown me away again.
this bridge is burning down (so far so good) sit back, i'm not changing your world, i'm passing through, i'm just a face.
this bridge is burning down (so far so good) someway somehow i'm better off alone, i cant wait til the fire burns out and it's over.
don't fail now, don't fail me now, don't fail now.
commitment comes and scares me away again.
don't fail now, don't fail me now, don't fail now.
what i've become has blown me away again

My OpinionI'm kind of curious what interpretations of this song are. It seems like it might just be somebody who doesn't want get involved in commitments, or possibly somebody who keeps cheating on somebody. The part I don't get is the chorus "don't fail me now". Is he speaking to himself or the person he is speaking to, because I don't see how the other person would be failing him.
