Coma comma drama, come on draw it, scratch it, say it, say it, make it to the bottom ladder, climb it, drop an apple off the top it stop it, I don't wanna eat it, need it, know it, force it, feed it, leave it, be it, just keep it in its box.

What easy used to be
What love used to be
What drugs used to be
What TV used to be
What music used to be
What luck used to be
What art used to be
What you used to be.

Comma drama, come on drawl your skin your mile longer, love song, sure it tells the future, fingers crushed and run 'em under water, shark-infested sea of secrets, in the open fire beat it, broke it, don't believe it, just keep it in it's box.

What the city used to be
What fun used to be
What dreaming used to be
What fame used to be
What fast used to be
What low used to be
What New York used to be.

General CommentWow.. this is such a good song. Love the riff.
An interesting take on the lyrics to have them as questions.

    I heard it as:
    What easy used to be.
    What love used to be.
    What drugs used to be.
    etc.

but now I'm not so sure...

General CommentTo me, I think it's about being in recovery and maybe reminiscing about how the city or your drug/booze/etc used to be because things have changed so much since you quit.

General CommentI think the last bit is:

Come on come on come on come on
    Tell me, come on
Tell me how much better the weather
    And greener the grass, man
Show me how it used to be

The whole song is a tongue-in-cheek take on people who remember the past as being so much better than the present. Definitely one of my very favourite Kills songs.
