I know exactly what I'm talkin' about
Cause I've been there, I've been scared
So many deals that I've been in and then out
Turned dreams into nightmares
Then I realized my wants only criticized my needs
I didn't make enough cheese
I couldn't figure out my wrongs and I found it hard to breathe

Have a right to cry (sometimes)
When I'm under the weather
Feels like my world is coming down
And my job could be better
That's just today's news, maybe tomorrow this is we can do

Seize the day, change your life
Find all of your limits in the sky
Take a moment, clear your mind
Believe that your angels never lie
Change is good, just keep it movin'
Uncover new colors that are kind
Different ways, brand new heights

Don't worry just take your time, and you'll be fine

Too many people get frightening or lightening
Always strikes them in the same place twice
Never seeking true guidance it might be
They need a little direction in life

It's alright to cry (sometimes)
When I'm under the weather
Feels like my world is coming down
And my job could be better
Yeah and that's today's news, you see tomorrow this is we can do

Seize the day, change your life
Find all of your limits in the sky
Take a moment, clear your mind
Believe that your angels never lie
Change is good, just keep it movin'
Uncover new colors that are kind
Different ways, brand new heights
Don't worry just take your time, and you'll be fine

You don't have to be fed up each and every day of your life
(Stop complaining just stop all the hating open your eyes)
And the world will be better if you believe and you try
(Stop complaining about things you can't get)
You won't know till you try

We won't stop
We won't stop
We won't stop till we try
We won't stop till we try
We won't stop
We won't stop
We won't stop till we try

Seize the day, change your life
Find all of your limits in the sky
Take a moment, clear your mind
Believe that your angels never lie
Change is good, just keep it movin'
Uncover new colors that are kind
Different ways, brand new heights
Don't worry just take your time, and you'll be fine

Seize the day, change your life
Find all of your limits in the sky
Take a moment, clear your mind
Believe that your angels never lie
Change is good, just keep it movin'
Uncover new colors that are kind
Different ways, brand new heights
Don't worry just take your time, and you'll be fine

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
