So many nights trying to hide it
But now I stay awake just pleading for more
To think this heart was divided
I'm losing sleep 'cause I can't ignore

Feeling your touch all around
And peacefully hearing the sound
Of silence around us, so glad we found us this way, yeah

Find me, here in your arms
Now I'm wondering where you've always been
And blindly, I came to you
Knowing you'd breathe new life from within

I can't get enough of you, oh

I want to be where you are
In times of need I just want you to stay
I leave a note on your car
When I can't find the right words to say

Hearing your voice all around
The last place we're going is down
I'll blindly follow knowing you're leading the way, yeah

Find me, here in your arms
Now I'm wondering where you've always been
And blindly, I came to you
Knowing you'd breathe new life from within, yeah

With you in time
There's nothing else
My life stands still
You are the will that makes me strong
Make me strong
If ever alone in this world I know I'll always

Find me, here in your arms
Now I'm wondering where you've always been
Blindly, I came to you
Knowing you'd breathe new life from within
Oh and you sleep, here in my arms
Where the world just shuts down for a while
Blindly, you came to me
Finding peace and belief in this smile
Find some peace and belief in this smile
Oh find some peace and belief in this smile

I can't get enough of you, oh

    General Comment

they're pulling a lifehouse and trying to cover up a religious song as a song about a girl. other than the line about a note on a car, this song is totally about his relationship with god. notice he says here in YOUR arms, or that he blindly came to someone who breathes new life from within. both pretty clear spiritual messages. i'll blindly follow knowing you're leading the way.. sounds more like something you'd say to a god than a girl..

    My Interpretation

I think it's all about the same girl and the same relationship, but he originally wanted out or wasn't sure about his feelings for her ("so many nights trying to hide it", "this heart was divided"). Now he is sure he loves her and needs her, and he's grateful she stuck around long enough for him to figure things out. (Though she may have stayed at a distance for a while, "now I'm wondering where you've always been") It also sounds like this relationship is new territory for both of them (at different points he says he came blindly to her, then later she came blindly to him).

As much as I love Jesus, I don't think this is a song about God. Some lines do sound pretty spiratual, but I think he just feels strongly about this woman.

I think this is such a beautiful song, and I love that it talks about a relationship that hasn't been perfect but has wound up perfect for the two people involved.

    My Opinion

I disagree, I think its about a guy who had his heart broken badly by a girl and a different girl he's known for a while came back into his life and he fell in love with her and has now forgotten about the previous broken heart

"To think this heart was divided"

"Blindly, I came to you Knowing you'd breathe new life from within"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
