Some people are getting all the luck, fall in love with us
But if I may be honest, though I probably won't, I don't believe a word of what I just wrote

"Why You Shouldn't Sign to a Major Label" - available in hardback!
Sounds like a laugh, but careful kids - here we are - curiosity killed the popstar

It's whispered in corridors; integrity vs equity? Head vs heart? Well I couldn't tell you where to start
Sob your undervalued eyes out with the rest of us
Sob your undervalued eyes out with the rest of us and wish upon a star

We got stars in our eyes and our eyes on the prize

General Commentwanting to be famous for their own musical respect, but not wanting to be made mainstream by a major label?

thats what i think anyway.. love this song. How it goes from loud to quiet to loud is awesome.

General CommentI think it's about how it's hard to stay true to yourself and not be influenced by what people want from you. You mustn't let the "prize" (success or fame probably) blind you (stars in our eyes), because you'll probably have to pay for it too (being dishonest). So signing with a major label can be very dangerous because you might be changed, moulded into something that's not really you.
