Dear diary, what have I done? Am I trippin' or am I alive?
Once I've decided I've got stories to tell
No way in hell was that just another muthafuckin' dream
Doesn't matter cuz I already know how it feels to WAKE UP WITH

Body like a roadmap of pain
Mind like a landfill of shame
Tie my rope one more time

Dear diary, had I known what I told you last night
I would've never walked there to start another fight
Banging my head on concrete wall, while knockin' on wood
Thinking it that's gonna do any good when I WAKE UP WITH

Body like a roadmap of pain
Mind like a landfill of shame
TIE MY ROPE

Tell me once, I decline, I refuse to learn
Shoot me twice but I'm not going down
I will climb the rope you tied for me
Beat me up while I'm still alive

General CommentThis song reminds me of how the world seems to me, so this is quite subjective.

The world, once you reach a certain point in life, can seemingly hand you every plausible reason to kill yourself. Job sucks. Girlfriend cheats on you but you're still madly in love with her. All your friends never were good friends to begin with. Your family is weird and you feel somewhat shoved aside, no matter whether they love you or not.

You turn to the old journal as a last attempt at self-preservation. In writing, you discover your anger, your apathy, every emotion you've tried to swallow. That's the rope.

The rope, obviously a noose, is dangling right before you. You either feel strong enough to not have its hands of twine wrap around your neck, or you hate life so much that you even hate the rope, you hate the choice that it offers you.

So you "climb the rope." You use that strength, perhaps that fear of dying, to continue with your life. The song is the precursor to success or failure. But you're willing to give it one more shot.

    I love this song.

General CommentI really like Keraunoscopia's interpretation of this song. I have a hard time getting to the lyrics, since I love how the song sounds in the first place. But the rope allusion seems pretty simple. Also, the journal is something many people use to write about stuff as a way of expressing their emotions in a safe/productive manner.

Like the one before me, I love this song.

General CommentKera you put that amazingly :)

Yes indeed, this song is one I can slot into my everyday life. The question this song holds, is also one, that goes into my everday life...

General CommentI really do like Keraunoscopia's interpretation, but for me its more about how sometimes the world is "out to get you," (as opposed to wanting to commit suicide, the "world" is trying to "hang" you).

Nobody really wants you to succeed, and even though some of the mistakes might be your own, you will still fight your way through and "survive"
