you stole an ounce of me but i've still got the rest
and if it's any consolation
you were good but not the best
you threw it all away
and you watched it fall away
but it was not as hard to say as you think

tell me what you mean
tell me anything
tell me everything you never could
so what can we hope for?
you're bleeding everywhere so tell me everything,
everything you never thought you would
it's your last chance to say goodnight

it was a tale grown so tall
and penned in makeup on the glass
it was a hollow compromise
it was a hollow compromise
you threw it all away and you watched it fall away
but it was not
it was not as worth the time as you think

and maybe once but maybe twice
maybe not at all this time
cause i've had all that i can take
and all the choices that we make are our last

I think this song is about, Drugs And Giving up A person he liked and cared for but choose Drugs and couldnt give up. The person he cared for was a good person but maybe not the best for him because they were giving up and really didnt care that they were or maybe they just needed help. He wanted that person to communicate with him as you can tell from the lyrics saying "tell me what you mean tell me anything tell me everything you never could." Maybe he was trying and trying but they would go out of control the person he liked might have od, tryed to commit suicide by mutaltion, or go hurt while under the influance of drugs (you're bleeding everywhere so tell me everything, everything you never thought you would) Maybe They were dying.( it's your last chance to say goodnight) maybe they can try agian (maybe once but maybe twice) Or if they dont clean there act up maybe never (maybe not at all this time) Cause Hes had enough (cause i've had all that i can take) and whatever they decide weather its him or drugs then its the last dission they make (and all the choices that we make are our last)
