"As Much As I Ever Could" as written by and Dallas Green....
Oh, oh, oh

Love of mine
Won't you lay by my side
And rest your weary eyes
Before we're out of time

Give me one last kiss
For soon, such distance
Will stretch between our lips
Now the day's losing light

Oh, oh, oh

Bring me your love, tonight
Bring me your love, tonight

Lost at sea
My heartbeat is growing weak
Hoping you'd hear my plea
And come save my life

As the storm grew fierce
An angel was certainly near
I knew there was nothing to fear

Bring me your love, tonight
Bring me your love, tonight
No, I am not where I belong
Bring me your love, tonight

No, I am not where I belong
So shine a light and guide me home
No, I am not where I belong
So shine a light, guide me back home

Oh, oh, oh

General Commentthis whole album gives me shivers, i've been listening to it non-stop.
is it weird that this song really reminds me of jeff buckley?

i think the actual meaning is fairly obvious:
he's away from his 'love', and he just doesn't feel like he belongs where he is.
maybe touring alot :S i've noticed in a few songs, the lyrics suggest he'd rather be somewhere else than playing shows. i kind of find that quite disheartening but also i think alot of people would struggle being away from loved ones.

    aaaaaaand... i'm done.

General CommentWhether or not it was intended, I think this song could be interpreted as being about death. Just putting that out there.

General CommentWow... this song is... well not many words can describe this song, other than beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

When Dallas sings, "bring me your love, tonight" does anyone else get shivers? Or is it just me?

General CommentSuch an amazing song. It seems to me that he's struggling against the pain of missing someone and he's trying not to let it overwhelm him, but then in the chorus he's just letting go and it's his SOS.
