I'm feeling blind like a salt in my eyes
There's something you need to know
I'm wasting time fall behind in my mind
'Cause I'm fighting and I'm losing war
Tidy little fold lines cracking inside my soul

You can't look me in the eye
I don't do surprises
I got nothing at all
If you catch me I fall

Signs, neon lights like a thief in the night
Who was woken with an open door
I'm serving time by myself for a crime
There's a reason I can't ignore
Holding everything that I was ever looking for

You can't look me in the eye
I don't do surprises
I got nothing at all
If you catch me I fall

You can't look me in the eye
I don't do surprises
I got nothing at all
If you catch me I fall

Look inside me, seems that I've been
Don't forget to pay your bill now
(Dudes is new, who's forming)
Call my friends and tell them there's a party
The sun is coming up, my heart is falling

Out and I am blinded, no one has the ace of spades
But if you play the game you'll find it
I'm running and touching, sinking, thinking, hoping for another
We need to drink and vibe and try not to hold back each other

You can't look me in the eye
I don't do surprises
I got nothing at all
If you catch me I fall

Anyone know what he says at the end, in a whisper? is it "do you trust me" or "don't trust me" I can't figure it out XD

But I adore this song. When I first heard it I truly thought it was Coldplay, particularly in the chorus!!

i love this song, i cant believe more people havent commented it!

i think its basically about that time in a relationship where youre both aware of the fact its not really working out and youre getting to the point where you realise its time to let go coz you have nothing left to offer.

its nice to see that not all people that participate in aus idol end up releasing crappy pop songs with no underlying meaning other than the fact their words rhyme :]

Well no ones commented on it because its was only released a couple of days ago...

When I first heard it, I thought it was Coldplay. Never thought much of him on video hits but he can sing that's for sure!

Yeah I think its along the lines of showing it all and not being able to give her what they want and vice versa. Not getting each other - were only human.

I thought it was Coldplay too. I think it's the way his voice goes when he says, "You cant look me in the eye".

I believe the lyrics at the beginning of the song are incorrect.

I'm feeling blind like a salt in my eyes There's something you need to know I'm wasting time fall behind in my mind 'Cause I'm fighting and I'm losing war

Now here are the correct lyrics

I’m feeling blind like the suns in my eyes is there something you need to know? I’m wasting time fall behind in my mind because I’m fighting in a losing war

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
