I knew a girl
She said she loved me so
Said I don't care for you at all
I can do better than you
And that's just what I plan to do
I plan to do

I wont marry your there's too much to do
Take my hand and you'll fall

I know when I've made a girl cry
I know when I've made a girl cry
I know when I've made a girl cry
That I've done my job

I've done my job

I'm not grateful for anything that I have
Not the food on my plate, not the clothes on my back
Not the world laid at my feet, not the daily sunshine that I meet
Not the way my parents love me so
Not the upper-middle class life that I know

Woa ah woa ho

I wont marry you there's too much to do
Take my hand and you'll fall

I know when I've made a girl cry
I know when I've made a girl cry
I know when I've made a girl cry
That I've done my job

La da da-da
Da da-da

I've done my job (What have you done, boy?)
I've done my job time and time again (Time and time again)

General CommentI figure this song is pretty simple. It's about a guy that's incredibly self-centered and achieves self-worth from his capacity to hurt, namely women, those around him. He also feels that he's got far too much potential to stick around in one place.

General Commentbut what if he has treated them real well and thats why the girl is crying. he did his job, was good and sweet to her and when he was through with the relationship, she cried cause she loved him...

General CommentIf he was "good and sweet" to her then why would he say something so callous as "i don't care for you at all?" And if he really didn't care for her, yet still pretended to, then that would make him even more malicious than otherwise.
