"Your Love Is a Lie" as written by Charles-andre Comeau, Pierre Bouvier and Arnold Lanni....
I fall asleep by the telephone
It's two o'clock and I'm waiting up alone
Tell me, where have you been?
I found a note with another name
You blow a kiss
But it just don't feel the same
Cause I can feel that you're gone

Can't bite my tongue forever
While you try to play it cool
You can hide behind your stories
But don't take me for a fool

You can tell me there's nobody else
(But I feel it)
You can tell me that you're home by yourself
(But I see it)
You can look into my eyes
And pretend all you want
But I know
I know your love is just a lie
It's nothing but a lie

You look so innocent
But the guilt in your voice gives you away
Yeah, you know what I mean
How does it feel when you kiss
When you know that I trust you?
And do you think about me when he fucks you?
And could you be more obscene?

So don't try to say you're sorry
Or try to make it right
And don't waste your breath
Because it's too late, it's too late

You can tell me there's nobody else
(But I feel it)
You can tell me that you're home by yourself
(But I see it)
You can look into my eyes
And pretend all you want
But I know
I know your love is just a lie, lie
It's nothing but a lie, lie
You're nothing but a lie

You can tell me there's nobody else
(But I feel it)
You can tell me that you're home by yourself
(But I see it)
You can look into my eyes
And pretend all you want
But I know
(I know)
I know your love is just a lie
(I know)
I know you're nothing but a lie, lie
You're nothing but a lie, lie
Your love is just a lie

General CommentI don't like Simple Plan very much, but I love this song. It's written and sung in a very heartfelt way.

General CommentI like this song, it's catchy, but not too cheesy like some of Simple Plans other stuff.
I guess it's kind of obvious what the song is about, but to me it sounds like the 'final confrontation' before he breaks up with her.

General CommentI like this song, it's pretty obvious it means the guy's girlfriend is cheating on him and he wants her to know.

General CommentWell...the song meaning's pretty obvious. It's about a guy who's being cheated on whether it be a simple boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, an engagement or a marriage.

What gets me is the fact that the guitar and the overall beat of the song sounds a bit like Oasis' "Wonderwall". A friend of mine pointed that out when we heard it on the radio: he thought it was Oasis.

General CommentYou think it sounds like Wonderwall, eh? I just had a look at the chords, and they're almost exactly those of Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams (which Noel accused of ripping off Wonderwall). It's a shame, because the song itself is not that bad, but I don't like the idea that it was ripped off anyone.

General CommentI don't think anybody "ripped off" anyone. It's not like they were like "hm, let's rip off one of our favourite bands!" Pop music is recycled, not all of it is going to be COMPLETELY different.
