The way you move is like a full on rainstorm
And I'm a house of cards
You're the kind of reckless that should send me running
But I kinda know that I won't get far

And you stood there in front of me just
Close enough to touch
Close enough to hope you couldn't see
What I was thinking of

Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
'Cause I see sparks fly, whenever you smile

Get me with those green eyes, baby
As the lights go down
Gimme something that'll haunt me when you're not around
'Cause I see sparks fly, whenever you smile

My mind forgets to remind me you're a bad idea
You touch me once and it's really something
You find I'm even better than you imagined I would be
I'm on my guard for the rest of the world
But with you, I know it's no good
And I could wait patiently
But I really wish you would

Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
'Cause I see sparks fly, whenever you smile

Get me with those green eyes, baby
As the lights go down
Gimme something that'll haunt me when you're not around
'Cause I see sparks fly, whenever you smile

I run my fingers through your hair
And watch the lights go wild
Just keep on keeping your eyes on me
It's just wrong enough to make it feel right
And lead me up the staircase
Won't you whisper soft and slow
I'm captivated by you, baby
Like a fireworks show

Drop everything now
Meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk
Take away the pain
'Cause I see sparks fly whenever you smile

Get me with those green eyes, baby
As the lights go down
Gimme something that'll haunt me when you're not around
'Cause I see sparks fly, whenever you smile

And the sparks fly, oh, baby, smile
And the sparks fly

I think this is about a one-night stand that she wished would have developed into a longer relationship. A night that she will never forget, and a guy that will haunt her with his unforgettable presence. And it's like she wants him so bad (you can hear it in how she sings), but she knows she probably won't get him forever. So she's savoring every moment, all the while wanting more, wanting him to take away all the pain that's making her ache. She's excited about the sparks that fly in between them, intoxicated by him and everything he does.

It's a very catchy and lovely song.

It's almost like she knows that this relationship won't work and she's just trying to take in every moment

I love this song. I think its about a girl who feels a deep connection with someone she justs meets. She wants him to confess his feelings to her."Drop everything now, Meet me in the pouring rain, Kiss me on the sidewalk, Take away the pain." She means take the pain away from them not being together. She wants him to come sweep her off her feet.

    My Interpretation

This song means that she met a guy that totally blew her mind. He was the kind of guy that she knew that she shouldn't be with, but she couldn't help but fall for him. He was the guy that he would kiss her and tell her goodnight and she would miss him the minute that he left her side. He had a smile that just melted her heart and when he looked at her it was as if no one else in the world exsisted.

I think this is about how a boy totally blows her mind. She is totally attracted to him and wants him to feel the same way. She can't get him out of her head. It could be at their prom maybe, at least they're dancing somewhere..

I remember this song from the Taylor Swift show I went to three years ago. I loved that original version, and I kept waiting for it to be on an upcoming album. I was very excited to hear it when I played "Speak Now" for the first time yesterday.

I interpret the song as being about a girl who goes out for an evening by herself, perhaps because she's feeling down about something in her life, and meets this guy by accident. She can't help being attracted to him, even though she can tell getting involved with him will probably wind up being a bad idea in the end, and she desperately wants him to feel for her what she is feeling for him. She wants to lose herself in the moment, wants him to make her forget everything that's going wrong, even if for just one night.

    My Interpretation

taylor swift is awesome because everytime i hear a song, i can picture a face of someone that made me feel that way. but anyways, to me this song means wanting someone you cant have...like someone else's boyfriend. "your the kinda reckless that should send me running, but i know that we wont get far" i wanted this guy because he was soo cute and funny, and even though i knew he had a girlfriend and that pursuing him would be pointless i did it anyways. then "my mind forgets to remind me your a bad idea" because im aware that what im doing is wrong, i cant help but pursue him and in the moment i give into him. "im captivated by you baby like a firework show" well that just says it all, his cuteness has me in some kind of trance! haha and "you stood there in front of me, just close enough to touch" lets see, he sat there in front of me, close enough to touch, nose to nose status, and what did i do? go in for the kill. i kissed him, knowing he was still with his gf, ouch.

i think the girlfriend probably feels a little "better than revenge" with me, and i doubt taylor meant this kind of situaution when she wrote the song haha.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
