"After Hours" as written by Christopher Cain and Keith Murray....
This door is always open,
This door is always open,
No one has the guts to shut us out.
But if we have to go now,
I guess there's always hope that,
Some place will be serving after hours.

This night is winding down but
Time means nothing,
As always at this hour
Time means nothing,
One final final round cos
Time means nothing,
Say that you'll stay
Say that you'll stay

We're finally drunk enough that,
We're finally soaking up,
The hours that everyone else throws away.
And if we have to go now,
I guess there's always hope,
Tomorrow night will be more of the same.

This night is winding down but
Time means nothing,
As always at this hour
Time means nothing,
One final final round cos
Time means nothing,
Say that you'll stay
Say that you'll stay
Say that you'll stay.

We're all right where we're supposed to be
We're all right where we're supposed to be
We're all right where we're supposed to be (Time means nothing)
We're all right where we're supposed to be (Time means nothing)

This door is always open,
This door is always open,
No one has the guts to shut us out.
No one has the guts to shut us out.

Time means nothing,
Time means nothing,
One final final round cos
Time means nothing,
Say that you'll stay
Say that you'll stay
Say that you'll stay

General Commenti dont think this songs about death
i thought that at glastonbury he said 'this ones for dev'
cos dev hynes (lightspeed champion) came out and started playing acoustic guitar with them...
im pretty sure its not about death, but i cud be wrong!

General CommentIt sounds like its about wanting to spend your last moments with someone and those moments lasting forever.

    this really sums it up:
And if we have to go now,
    I guess there's always hope,
Tomorrow night will be more of the same

General Commenti think this song is about that feeling i get at 3 in the morning driving around with my friends, with all the windows down, blasting music, driving to no where.
the feeling that we're allowed where ever, when ever. and if anyone wants to say we can't, well hell, we'll just find someplace else to go.
everyones gotten together for a specific purpose, like going to a party, or a show, or out to someones house, and it's over, but no one really wants to go home. time means nothing. everyone else in the world is leaving the world for their sleep, but they're missing some of the most magical moments, where you can feel so lonely, but then again so united with your friends and so alive. i love the line "One final final round," because i feel like he's saying, okay this is actually the final round, when everyone's been saying "this is the last one!" but not really meaning it, because if it actually is that'd mean they have to go home :)

i dunno, but that's what i get from it. this song really describes exactly the feeling i get when i'm in that situation. even the way it sounds, completely compliments the emotions.

"we're all right where we're supposed to be" :)

General Commenti miss that feeling.. being out and so crazy that everything feels timeless. the night might as well last forever because you cant imagine it ending.

General CommentI love WAS too. :) When i listened to this song i fell in love with it instantly. it's a little different from the rest of their songs. but the lyrics are kind of similar.

I think that mostly it's talking about a relationship. Like "And if we have to go now, I guess there's always hope, Tomorrow night will be more of the same." could point to a one-night-stand or maybe just a relationship that seems to be near an end and you get little time to spend with the other person.

and of course, there's the reference to drinking and the whole "it's probably time i get a taxi home but i really want to stay with you" type thing.

Anyway, just a great song. :)
