I ran out of money and space in my luggage
Think I need to budget
I totaled the coupe now I’m pushing a bucket
I swerve like I’m rushing
On my way to you when I’m scared of the loving
I feel so disgusted
You asking questions I’m changing the subject
Cuz we ain’t gotta discuss it
I flew cross the country I needed a break
I still can’t get away
Thinking what did I do to her, what do I say
I’m worried bout you in a whole ‘nother state
I just wanna get back the past couple days
My mind has been racing and trying to escape
I tell you it feel like you feeling no way
I’m running late cause I’m running in place
I just wanna know if I come up in conversation
When you talk to your friends if it’s me that you think made it complicated
For the time I waited girl I hate the feeling that my time is wasted
I’m just trying baby, Would you even notice if I died today
Is it me that you tryna play

[PreHook]
Just answer your phone
I know you’re home
I been alone
For way too long
One day I’ll be gone
But I’m tryna be strong
Just pick up your phone
Just pick up your phone

[vamp]
It’s too cold out here
To let you not be near
But I still hold my tears
And you can’t know my fears

[Verse 2]
Just give me a sign that you giving a fuck
I’m over here dying, you living up
You ain’t even check on me, all on gram you been flickin it up
I feed off your love, you ain’t giving enough
The ball your court you ain’t picking it up
Don’t do it for me girl I’m in it for us

Hangin on by a thread need to put me on life support
How the hell did we get like this so fast baby you was so nice before
Swimming in my own thoughts, finna start drowning but who is gone drive the boat
Surrounded by blue this time around cuz I did it all twice before

[PreHook]

[Hook]

[Hook 2]
I done found my way out
I finally found my way out
Yeh Yeah, Yeh Yeah
I done found my way out, oh
Finally found my out
My way my way my way

[bridge]
Cause you don’t give a damn bout me,
I see
Lost myself in you I finally found me
Yeh Yeah Yeh Yeah

[Verse 1]
I had to be the on to fight back
Why you had to do me like that?
You ain’t gotta do me like that
I be doing good but you always gotta pull me right be
How the fuck I look still going out sad
Tell me how I look, get it from dad
You fucking up my groove tryna stay in my bag
Every day it’s you on the back of my hat
Don’t you hit me ‘less you wanna make it work, otherwise just keep it moving
You don’t care bout how I’m doing
‘Cause it’s never me you choosing
Every time I start to move on you just pop up, my mind I’m losing
Girl you got me looking stupid
Girl you got my looking so -

[Hook]

A song about how people always try to but Blaze and his band down. A song about how people want to see him fail. Yet he is still defiant and is storming on gaining support. He is.. Still ALIVE

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
