Tonight I finally get the chance
To show you what I'm feeling
So now I'm taking out the time
To know you and your latest trends

[Chorus]
Don't even get me started
On the topic of lovers eyes
Their attempts are just so off-target
They don't know what is it to try

Baby, save me
Tell me that you wanna take me
To the place where we kissed the sky
Rain by day, shoot stars by night (x2)

Now that we made it up into the sky
I've been wondering why
Why can't we keep away from everything
Stay high, just you and I

I'll make sure everything is all right
Sit tight
Don't you say a word
See the earth turn
Take a breath and stare like you
Have never, ever seen the world

[Chorus]

Baby, tell me what you want
What you need
Everything you've never seen
But you dreamed of a place out of space
Will erase and be free in a scene
To a world that's been turned all around, upside-down
Never knowing what's around
Every corner of our horrible story
I'm glad we both found on the ground
Safe and sound

[Chorus]

"Baby, save me Tell me that you wanna take me To the place where we kiss the sky Rain by day, shoot stars by night" Amazing song! I love the imagery in this song. he's crazy about a girl and will do anything to see her and when he does he feels like he's flying

This is my absolute favorite song by The Audition ! Love Love Love this band! He has such and amazing voice, and all of their songs are so catchy and fun to listen to :] I agree, this song has great imagery and it's about a boy who's crazy about a girl and feels like he's on cloud 9 with her :]

could this song possibly be somehow related to "Hell To Sell"?

because of line in it "go to heaven for the weather, but to hell to sell your soul"

maybe? i dont know, i just thought it was a pretty big coincidence..

the thing with most songs is they can shifted and made to fit almost any situation if you really think about it. of course each song has an original meaning, but each song has a different meaning to whoever interprets it. for example to me this song is interpreted as a relationship between 2 people in which they are so in love but it just will never work.

ex: Baby, save me Tell me that you wanna take me To the place where we kiss the sky Rain by day, shoot stars by night Now that we made it up into the sky I've been wondering why Why can't we keep away from everything Stay high, just you and I

All they want to do is just escape and their wondering as to why it cant be easier, why cant they just leave and stay together and stay happy ("stay high") and just have it work. its as if their asking to run away from everything and just be together forever.

Baby, tell me what you want What you need Everything you've never seen But you've dreamed of a place out in space Where we'll race and be free and unseen To a world that's been turned all around, upside-down Never knowing what's around every corner A horrible story I'm glad we both left on the ground Safe and sound

this is to me as if the only place they can happily be together is if they just leave the world and escpae together and runaway to some other place.

but thats just my interpretation :)

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
