"Holy, Holy, Holy" as written by and Reginald/dykes Heber....
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
Our song shall rise to thee
There is a sign at the sight of thee,
Merciful and mighty
God in three Persons,
God in three Persons,
Blessed Trinity

Holy, holy, holy!
Though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy;
There is none beside thee,
Perfect in power
Perfect in power
In love, and purity

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy Name, in
Earth, and sky, and sea
There is a sign at the sight of thee,
There is none beside thee,
God in three Persons,
God in three Persons,
God in three Persons,
God in three Persons,
Blessed Trinity

    General CommentI couldn't agree more. Contemp stuff is so weak. They don't make worship music like they used to. I wish Sufjan would do more songs like it. I have to listen to hymns and old traditional music or else cringe along to what they're making these days.

    General CommentSome of the most exquisite harmonies I have ever heard are in this song.

    It is positively gorgeous.

    I cannot stop listening to it.

    General CommentLove, love this song.

    Any thoughts on why Sufjan says "There is a sign at the sight of thee" instead of "Holy, holy, holy" As the traditional hymn does?
