chop chop chop (he says)
chop chop chop (he says)
chop chop chop (he says)
chop chop chop (he says)

bouncing from the bridge
with the deaf speed over among the
far fifty bright lights
what for what for?

we run a small dry town
in twenty years still smarter than endebted
what for, what for?
why bother what for?

they'll never figure out
must be hyptonized or sleeping
twenty-five, sleeping
such a pretty lie, sleeping
we're getting caught, sleeping
sleeping

chop chop chop (he says)
chop chop chop (he says)

i found a dave in line
at eight-thirty he sneaks out the window
no never wake-up
why bother what for?
he never fooled around
he must be hyptonized or sleeping
twenty-five, sleeping
such a pretty lie, sleeping
getting caught, sleeping
yeah

chop chop chop (he says)
chop chop chop (he says)
chop chop chop (he says)
chop chop chop (he says)

all the smells of all the love seems to get it right
the friendships fine it's all in black in white

cause they're all sleeping
took twenty-five sleeping
such a pretty lie, sleeping
we walk through life, sleeping
they're all sleeping
it's a pretty lie sleeping
they're getting caught
getting caught
now they're getting caught
we're getting caught
getting caught
you're getting caught
oooh ah oooh
oooh ah oooh
oooh ah oooh

    General CommentRad song.
I remember this being on the copy of Meadowlands I downloaded, but not the actual record.
Was it tacked onto an EP later?
Either way, great melody, kinda lame lyrics.
Also, I like the pre-LP take of Everyone Choose Sides more. Less on the broken amp sound ('cause it's too good a riff for that) and I think there's another guitar layered on at the end.

General CommentI always thought "Chop" was "Shut up" as in "Shaddup! Shaddup! Shaddup! He says." Makes more sense. Anyone else?
