Stay low, soft, dark and dreamless
Far beneath my nightmares and loneliness
I hate me for breathing without you
I don't want to feel anymore for you

Grieving for you, I'm not grieving for you
Nothing real love can't undo
And though I may have lost my way
All paths lead straight to you

I long to be like you
Lie cold in the ground like you

Halo blinding wall between us
Melt away and leave us alone again
Humming haunted somewhere out there
I believe our love can see us through in death

I long to be like you
Lie cold in the ground like you
There's room inside for two
And I'm not grieving for you
I'm coming for you

You're not alone
No matter what they told you
You're not alone
I'll be right beside you forevermore

I long to be like you, sis
Lie cold in the ground like you did
There's room inside for two
And I'm not grieving for you

And as we lay in silent bliss
I know you remember me

I long to be like you
Lie cold in the ground like you
There's room inside for two
And I'm not grieving for you
I'm coming for you

"What's done is done" Any of that sound familiar to you guys?

I love Amy Lee and I love Evanescence... But this been going on for maybe three or four years (I'm assuming that, I discovered this song in 2004/2005)

Nothing been done to fix the situation well enough for us to never hear of this song ever again, so drop it, I understand we have some elite fans commenting over here, but really, stop, you're wasting your time trying to have this song deleted from this page. The song may very well be in over hundreds of millions of people's home computers, office computers, etc. Just stop, what's done is done.

    ANYWAY

This is a beautiful song. I didn't know it was a leaked song untiil last year, but I couldn't bring myself to deleting this song, it's too precious, too meaningful, too beautiful. Thank goodness this song didn't go as far as being leaked onto the radio, such a beautiful song would be destroyed by being played out.

I want to see more work like this coming from Amy, she always wrote such deep lyrics, but these lyrics touched me the most!

I have no idea behind the story to this song other then what I have read above, but the simple fact is that if a song is that personal and that sacred to an individual (speaking as a songwriter myself) those are the songs that should be given away. I have no idea why somebody would want to keep a song like this to themselves.

I can totally understand not wanting to release it on an album, some songs are just special and deserve to have their own special place and that goes beyond singles and anything the music industry might try to throw at you. THIS IS ART....and also recorded digital music..

    Memory

As my name is Amy, I feel like it's me when I listen to it. This is one of the songs that my boyfriend and I treasure very dearly; I think of us every time I listen to it. I'm not even much of an Evanescence fan, but this song holds an incredible amount of meaning for me. I understand why Amy Lee wouldn't want it released, but....

Bitching about it is not going to get it deleted, and if it does, it will be back up within a few months. It's been leaked, nothing can change that, and there will always be a copy of it somewhere. I have a copy, many, many others have a copy. If Amy Lee really cares anymore, which is highly doubtful by now, she will take some kind of legal action against the people posting the lyrics and downloading it. And until that day comes, I will play this song, cranked at max with my windows down going down the highway so that everyone in my city can hear it, and when that day of artistic death comes, then I will get rid of it. If you have any respect for a piece of art, you will leave it up. So, to the people bitching, quit acting like you're Amy Lee's personal police and deal with it.

This song is so astoundingly beautiful. I've never connected to a piece of music like I do to this one. It's too bad that it was released when she didn't want it to be, but it happened, and I for one feel blessed that it did.

I wished I had this song...It's just so pretty! I actually kinda cried. It's pretty romantic and shows true unconditional love more than any other song in the world. Too bad there's so much drama about it.

she did NOT want the song released or anything about it even posted. This was a very personal song for her.

this needs to be deleted. Just out of respect.

I understand that thisong is very personal to Amy, and I respect that. But it's so beautful (I have it on a cd a friend burned me... sorry, I didn't know then). Does anyone actually know who this is about? I thought maybe her husband at first but I have a feeling she wrote it before him?

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
