Stay clean till' seventeen
No worry makes a fool of me
I never stay in line
Ooo in time

We're wide awake till' dawn
We found where we belong
My body pays the price
Try to take my life
But only get my spine

Yeah you try to take my life
But only get my spine

Please, oh please believe
In anything but me

Afraid to touch the skin
Defiant to the end
Open up your mouth
Say sing to me just right
Sing to me all night

Say sing to me just right
Sing to me all night

Please, oh please believe
In anything but me

So get lost
Or make your move
Yeah everyone's got better things to do
And they won't wait on you

Stay clean till' seventeen
No worry makes a fool of me
My body pays the price
Try to take my life
But only get my spine

Please, oh please believe
In anything but me

So get lost
Or make your move
Yeah everyone's got better things to do
And they won't wait on you
Ooo get lost,
Or get sold
Yeah everyone's got somewhere else to go
And they won't wait on you

General CommentThis is a great song. I love the Graduate in general.

Is there anything behind the slightly similar lyrics of this song and "Sing"?

    In "Sing", it's:
    "Please, oh please believe
    In anyone but me
    I'm somewhere in between
Oh, who I am and who you need"

    and in "Gunslinger", it's:
    "Please, oh please believe
    In anything but me"

And then again, in "Sing", it's:
"I'll make it through the night
    Sing to me just right"

    and in "Gunslinger", it's:
"Say sing to me just right
    Sing to me all night"

I might be looking into it too much, but that really interested me.
