"A Sigh" as written by and Neil Finn....
A sigh from the deepest well
You can tell a lot without saying a thing
The truth, between us my friend
This longing
A sigh for lonliness to end
No changing the story now
A sigh from the emptiest part
It's a tender place
A sigh
Is more than I can bear
This show is not fooling anyone
And its all for you
But I think you're mind is made up

General CommentReally great track. I think this song is about someone who doesn't realize what they actually have in this life, so they sigh and think "whatever."

General Commentthis is a song of companionship and nostalgia over losing a loved one; here, a close friend.

the sigh of the song: it's what we will all experience along the way - loss.

General CommentI just listened to this song, its usaully one off the album I prefer to skip but not this time. The haunting rise just speaks of such loss and emotion. I've always connected it to the suicide of their old drummer, Paul Hester. The Time on Earth album is dedicated to him and I felt many of the songs are to do with him. Hester battled with depression and I think the lines "A sigh for loneliness to end/ this show is not fooling anyone" is completely about what he went through.
