A song recorded in honor of Lupe’s jailed business partner Charles “Chilly” Patton, who was taken in for dealing H....
If we could break down those walls to set you free,
We would, cause we out here, and we miss you.

If we could build a ladder that tall, to come up and see you, we would,
Cause we down there, and we miss you.

If we could break down those walls to set you free,
We would, cause we out here, and we miss you.

If we could build a ladder that tall, to come up and see you, we would,
Cause we down there, and we miss you.

General CommentNaw man, he couldn't keep this one off the album. How would u feel if your mentor, friend, and co founder of your record label was sentenced to 44 years? If it was me I wud put a song too. Early in the album to get it out of the way, Its only a few seconds long. Nevertheless the beat is sick, some epic move type thing, and the vocals ar very simplistic which works really well with the beat. Great idea lupe. Hold it down for your nigga

General CommentThis is about his producer "Chilly" who has been charged with possession of Heroin or leads to a Heroin ring.

General Commenthe mentions 'free chilly' in a few of his other songs too if you listen closely enough. This is one of my fav songs on The Cool - At first I thought it was about seeing his father who passed away but this makes more sense lol.

Song Meaningthis songs about shyness from one kid in a group of close friends. He used love him and now he's hiding behind this metaphorical wall and his friend want to see the real him again. This song makes me want to cry cause I was the kid behind the wall who couldn't escape. If this went to the heart to any one reading this give a good listen to the show goes on
